Is Carmichael even going to be available?

Last seen limping to his car wasn't he?

How about Henry?

Did he train fully with his hand concern last Thursday?

Kreuger is obviously not a midfield replacement for Adams but he might be the one best placed to make an impact this final series so do we take the risk and go in with one less dedicated mid to achieve that and look towards a collective of players to pick up the midfield slack?

At this stage of his development Carmichael is more suited as an outside option rather than an extractor IMO but if we want to replace Adams inside work with more run then he's the best option. Can be pushed forward when the likes of an Elliott are taking their turn through the midfield.

Macrae has only played 2 senior games this season and it's probably unrealistic under those circumstances to think he could make any significant contribution in a cut throat final.

That leaves C. Brown and Bianco.

While it wouldn't fill me with any great confidence I'd probably go with Callum as the more experienced option and a player probably aware he's playing for his career. Of the two he's closer in style to Adams and his VFL season where he's spent significant time playing as that small inside mid has seen the best VFL form of his career. If he was to be selected he must fill the role of Adams however as he's not a small forward and we have far better options across half back.
WHE to the wing and Sidey/Josh to share a wing and centre square. Kreuger up forward.

People will call me crazy, which I am, but I would bring in C Brown for Adams. I'd tell him to follow Serong wherever he goes. Brayshaw can be minded by Pendles and DeGoey. Serong needs to be stopped and has never had a player run with him.

I'd keep Kreuger sub. No other change.

I didn’t say he was poor. It’s more of a balance thing. Couldn’t care less if it’s Cameron or Cox out, but I think we’re too top heavy if we add Kreuger to the mix and keep both rucks in.
Krueger is very mobile. I don't think his presence creates any issues with the two ruckmen playing as well.

Would love to have a full-time ruck, free Moore up the ground to pinch hit (if we ever got a proper FB) which would leave an additional player handy, ideally a mid.

With Cox and Cameron, Pies basically play a man down the entire game. I mean 45% game time for 6 disposals and a bunch of 'clever' 1% taps and 2 marks?

OK...

Would love them to improve on this area in the off season with some trading.
Easy fix - don’t trade Grundy.

Going by McCrae love of Krueger, he is in. Think we need to play Cox as perm forward and AJ or Krueger pinch hit in the ruck.

With Cox, AJ, Krueger & Checkers this gives us height in the forward line

Checkers board line for me but won’t be dropped - needs to lift big time

Ginn & McCreery a worry but we have no more Depth so they play

We need to step up and smash Freo by 30+ no excuses

McCrae’s love is tempered by the fact he doesn’t think Krueger can last a full game presently.

What an embarrassing post.
Checkers deserves far more respect.
You post like a flog sometimes - this was a very very bad joke in very bad taste.
Let’s see if you have the decency to delete the last sentence.

TGG was being facetious. He can be a subtle old bastard.

With Adam's career almost looking to be nailed down in the casket and gone to meet its maker, Grundy has suddenly gained favour again in my eyes, though only in the hope he can recapture his ground clearance skills. Other than De Goey, I don't see anything coming through that is going to significantly bolster our stock of ready-to-go clearance mids.

In Kreuger brown
Out Mihocek adams

Sub Mihocek
This.
It is the only choice we really have.
Brody is lame, and he really should not play at all. He has been poor since the bye. In fact, The Madge might be a better sub than Brody.

The only other fit players left with any form or experience are Bianco and Macrae.

We don’t have a proper key position sized forward and we only have one proper key position sized defender. I’d argue if you bring Krueger in to play chf we are really just reverting the sort of setup we should have anyway.

Sorry - it was a very very bad joke in very poor taste.
If you think it was funny then you too need to take a good hard look at yourself.

It wasn't meant to be a 'ha ha' type of joke. More like trench humour.

But I'm thinking that any comment on the variations of humour might be lost on you, at least when you're swathed in self-righteousness.

Or brown. Or henry. Depends if we want a tall or a medium on the sub bench.

What don’t you understand about poor taste?
It’s a simple concept mate.

It's baffling we haven't been in Dunkleys ear.

Tom Mitchell is as good an Adams contingency policy as we may have an option to.

I agree. Building tents around people and shooting them for under-performance has become so common that we should never say it in jest. Imagine how those who've lost loved ones in that way would feel.

Exactly. A bit of hyperbole combined with some black humour seems as good a way as any to shake out the after effects of last night. As for Mihochek, I always admired him as a player, but he has been almost unsighted for many weeks. Some are suggesting he is playing injured and others that maybe he is reaching the end of his career. I prefer to believe the former, but then can't see much point continuing to play him with his output so diminished.

If I was on the inside at the club and knew that his injury (if he has one) would be no better next week, I would replace him against Fremantle with Krueger. Even Cameron or Cox could contribute more up forward than Mihochek is currently doing. Maybe the inclusion of Krueger with Mihochek still in the side might take the pressure of Brody being the only big forward off his back. It's cruel to continue playing him as the sole big forward if he is handicapped by injury.

Anyway, I am not omitting the last sentence.

Can I suggest you don't read 'A Modest Proposal' by Jonathan Swift (author of Gulliver's Travels). It's an essay proposing a solution to Irish Poverty by farming babies and selling them as food to the rich. Much of the very humorous essay consists of recipes and explanations of the benefits to the poor of purchasing their starving children from them at the age of 1 and fattening them up for sale to the rich. With your sense of humour, you're sure to hate it.
