And Gerhard said Harry & Charlie should kick 12 between them.

Real backs to the wall game. A pasting will increase the call from all in Sunbury to take the game away from us.

We really need to stand up Mr. Clarkson. Please pull a rabbit from your hat and stick it up every single doubter outside the club and the " expert's " in the media.
Added bonus ? Griff in his suit singing the song post-game in the rooms.
It's one of those games where you can't really blame the AFL. We wanted this game and they (eventually) gave it to us, but apart from the St.Kilda one, we haven't actually performed. We need to make a statement on Friday. If we don't, we're not in a position to get shitty if they take it off us.

They wont be taking it off us. Looks like friday's going to be a sell out. The club is finally in a position where we can see glimpses of improvement. What the AFL need to do is keep it North vs Blues and allow that tradition to build. Not change clubs every other year

I'd greatly disagree about not getting shitty.

Bit off topic but does anyone have any spare tickets to sell for good Friday match? 😬 I'm chasing two. Happy to trade for MCC tickets and/or wine 👍

I blame the AFL absolutely if we lose it. They EVENTUALLY gave it to us after asking for it for decades the year as we decide to slash our list to the bone, not the previous few years coming off prelim/prelim/finals. It’s bs they make us fight tooth and nail when we were at our weakest. Sure we should’ve performed better in some of the games, but give us a shot while we have a strong team rather than handicapping us and leaving it open to speculation each year by giving it to us when we at our lowest ebb.

Fwiw I think we’ll put on a good show. This board and overall everyone else had huge concerns leading into rounds 1/2 with our KPD stocks and we surprised. It may be a matter of carlton thinking they have already bagged 4 points too.

No less that other teams being shit has never lead to them losing their marquee fixture, why should it for us?

Selling tickets is more important than how we play, same as for every AFL event. This is the matchup the club always wanted and predictably it is bigger than the manufactured fixtures the AFL has tried.

Disappointing loss v Hawks
An optimist would point out we have had 3 competitive games in a row, have not see that recently

Backline is like a Science lab with newbies, new oldies and missing KPDs

Aim is to develop a more competitive playing style, reduce the just plain dumb errors all while integrating the young blokes into an actual footy team
Most have done a bit, but plenty still don’t do enough over a full game, not match winning just keeping at the basics
Basically we will just continue to figure out who can play where until the team settles with the big boys back

Some of the football v Hawks was classy Will need more of that

I do but they are 1 adult and 4 junior GA tickets.

We would have every right to be shitty as although we have had alot to do with making a dogs breakfast of this game the AFL have helped hinder it at every turn, also performance is irrelevant, our shitty crowds is what (rightfully) should have brought about the question of whether we keep it. Just look at the "traditional" blues v tigs season opener, I can think of about two decent games, the rest of the time it has been the battle of the shit-trucks for 15 years. But they bring in the ferals by the frig load so its never questioned.

I didn’t realise it would sell out by now. Is there anyone who has a spare barcode/ticket I could use? I promised to get my friend a ticket and left it too late. Would really appreciate it eternally. GA or anything is fine. Happy to compensate very well.

Can’t believe we’re selling out stadiums

I see you’re doubling down after last week’s loss, Ligma. I like it.

I think it will be tighter than ppl think.

We will be undersized but we will have structure and we have nothing to lose so let’s smash these frauds.

I don't think we'll win but people are talking about Carlton as if they were flag favs.

Had dinner last night with a Carlton supporter who said they were ordinary in round 1 and lucky to win last week against GWS, Geelong win in round 2 was good (but who knows how big a scalp that is as the weeks roll on). If they are anywhere near as good as they are supposed to be they should put their foot down this week. Hopefully we get back into the shape of the first two rounds and they aren’t able to do that.

I like your optimism.

I think it will go the other way though.

I’m expecting us to play some good football though.

Correct. It is my understanding that they will allocate a small amount of general admission seating for first in best dressed Friday, otherwise best option is reserved seat so you don't miss out.
Sorry to intrude, but is the GA you're talking about in relation to a Kangaroos membership or just GA in general? I purchased a GA ticket, so what happens if GA seating runs out?

Nullify half back run, let curnow go wild and fill the hole infront if mckay, we win contested ball we will absolutely be in the with a sniff. The trick is to not worry about Curnow, just let him do as he pleases. We impact the rest our midfielders and forwards will hurt the other. Charlie could kick 10 and we could still walk away with a w

We recruited Log specifically for this matchup, but the Ivory Tower had other ideas.

We’re going to be extremely exposed down back so hopefully Clarko has a cluster in mind to nullify some of it . Jack needs to be sitting in the hole to force Curnow and McKay wide.

Prefer McKay shanking 45m snaps from the boundary instead of kicking them from the goal square.
Dawson has to play you would think? Also would playing CCJ with Goldy and having the resting ruckman in the backline be an option?
