And Gerhard said Harry & Charlie should kick 12 between them.

Real backs to the wall game. A pasting will increase the call from all in Sunbury to take the game away from us.

We really need to stand up Mr. Clarkson. Please pull a rabbit from your hat and stick it up every single doubter outside the club and the " expert's " in the media.
Added bonus ? Griff in his suit singing the song post-game in the rooms.

honestly hard to argue. Need Corr and whoever of Bonar/Dawson comes in to play out of their skin with heaps of support from the other defenders and pressure from the midfield to keep them under 8 minimum combined IMO.

But i can also see us being very big conscious, have all our mediums fly to make a contest, and Carlton's contingent of dangerous smalls in Motlop, Owies and Durdin having a field day.

Owies subbed with a hammie v GWS yeh ? Maybe 1 less to worry about.

The Blues will be forced into a couple of changes, with Matt Owies hurting his hamstring in the early stages of last week's win over the Giants and with Blake Acres suspended for round four. Lochie O'Brien has been the sub in each of the team's first three games and would be a natural wing replacement for Acres, while Matt Kennedy is a chance to return from a calf injury and could be the man to come in for Owies. The versatile Jack Martin is recovering from his own calf complaint and could be another option, while Paddy Dow was again strong at VFL level and finished with 28 disposals last weekend. - Riley Beveridge

R3 sub: Lochie O’Brien (replaced Matt Owies)

The Kangaroos should get some much-needed midfield support, with Jy Simpkin back from suspension and with Luke Davies-Uniacke expected to recover from a minor calf complaint. However, key defender Griffin Logue is suspended while Ben McKay won't return in time from a foot problem. It will give the Kangas a headache down back ahead of a meeting with the last two Coleman Medal winners in Charlie Curnow and Harry McKay. Expect the Curnow match-up to be given to Aidan Bonar, who is likely to return to the side after 17 disposals and eight marks at VFL level last week. He looms as the most likely replacement for Logue, with Kallan Dawson also earmarked as a potential inclusion. Darcy Tucker should be in the starting 22 after an impressive cameo as the sub last week. Last year's No.4 pick George Wardlaw continues to close on an AFL debut, impressing again in his ongoing conditioning block with 24 disposals at VFL level last Saturday. - Riley Beveridge

R3 sub: Darcy Tucker (replaced Hugh Greenwood)

Lochie O'Brien and Paddy Dow? Good grief. Keep in mind that Ed Curnow is still getting a game too.

LDU, Simpkin, Cunnington, Zurhaar, Greenwood, Powell v Cripps, Cerra, Hewett, Curnow, Fischer?.

Funny, Hall was my first thought for a player who would disrupt Carlton's game a bit.

Yes he makes his mistakes but he's undeniably elite at parts of his game when he's firing too. They know their forward line will leak when he's busily gathering receives through there.

Should upgrade because GA is all sold out.

or you can buy standing room tickets

But if i scan in i can stand though?
Someone mentioned in another thread that only the first 3,000 GA will scan, based on a call made to the club - this is why I upgraded to a reserved seat.

Correct. It is my understanding that they will allocate a small amount of general admission seating for first in best dressed Friday, otherwise best option is reserved seat so you don't miss out.

I'm also warming to the idea of Hall coming in, he could be our Saad, although a bit slower.

It really was a fine piece of coaching from Sam Mitchell. This is essentially the same side that went 1-20 against professional teams last year, just with one of the greatest coaches of all time in charge. The first 2 rounds showed what we are capable of with clear directions in place. What happens when the opposition does something totally unexpected though? Well, it falls apart because now our competitive advantage is nullified. These kind of surprises are a minor problem for experienced and capable sides who can adapt on the run, but for us it's just about game over.

The good news is that nobody plays as distinct a game style as Hawthorn, so other teams don't have as much scope to try something like this.
Yeah I agree with all of that ... and if we were a more experienced side I'd have expected more from Clarkson wrtbeing prepared for the game and Mitchell trying to beat him but as it was its better that we failed trying what we are learning and then adjusted even if it didn't bring us the chocolates.

We will learn alot from this and it will keep Clarko motivated just a little more than if we'd won. he owes Mitchell now so expect us to be more competitive against them and for the rest of the year.

Cant be right. If so thats really poor by the club. Members pay for access to all games why wouldnt they be accounted for?
The two clubs have a combined membership of something like 120,000 plus it’s the marquee game we wanted on a day no one else is playing. I’m interested how anyone thinks NMFC can guarantee access for any member who chooses not to reserve a seat?

Maybe it’s years of being a Collingwood sub-follower where the only games you can afford to not book in advance for are fixtures like twilight v GWS, but I never take game access for granted.

Premiership Club members no need to do anything right? Just rock up and scan.
