But you don’t upset dynamics whilst winning. Only make the necessary changes.

If you're a premiership contender perhaps, not if you're in a rebuild. In a rebuild you experiment with the side to find the best dynamic. You don't just assume you have the best dynamic because you won a game. Especially a game like that against the worst side in the league.

Yep, agree 100%, It’s harsh but I’d drop Fog, Yeah he kicked 3 goals, but had zero influence in general play and provides less than zero forward pressure, all this talk of turning him into a part time mid is just that, talk. Until Walker is injured or his form demands he be dropped Fog doesn’t seem to have a role in this team.
Keep him in the side. As long as he understands he's currently filling the Mitch McGovern 2016 role and he's there to take advantage of the good work of everybody else.

If the goals dry up and nothing else changes then it's an easy decision to drop him.

I've always liked McHenry and I'm still not willing to rule him out, but I'd definitely drop him after that.

OUT: Frampton, McHenry
IN: Thilthorpe, Hately
I agree with these two changes. We need to bolster our pure-midfield options, as our setup today won't cut it vs. Fyfe/Mundy/Cerra/Brayshaw.

I'd accept Himmelberg for Billy, but prefer us to fast-track Riley.

McAdam & Hamill are on the edge for me. Shane turning into a last quarter expert. Was putrid before then.

Worrell = very close.

All sides should always improve themselves regardless of the result.

The philosophy that you don't drop players until you lose is ridiculous.

We were losing for most of the game.

Frampton offers nothing up forward and his Rocking is not enough to keep him in.

Tilthorpe has to come in for him and we work something out for the centre bounces RoB doesn't attend.

For me it is McHenry out for Hately. The small forwards offered little this week and McHenry the worst. One of these guys needs to make way for a proper mid IMO

Rowe contributed more than McHenry and has X factor, natural goal nous. Murphy was a decent part of the midfield rotation. McAdam wasca big reason we won, despite an early knock affecting him.

I would go McAsey or Murray for Lynch. We lack height down back. Lynch is injured. His role up forward can be covered by Fog

He’s the antithesis of McGovern? Gov was a great contested mark, Gov was also highly rated in defensive pressure, was very quick for his size.

Anyone accepting himmelberg in for anyone obviously hasnt been watching himmelberg the last six weeks.

He’s hot garbage at the moment... did **** all in the sanfl game yesterday, took a mark 35m out on barely 45 degree angle.. and his kick for goal didnt even make the distance.

id accept TT for frampton but not himmelberg.. and i’ll keep saying that until Himmelberg proves in the SANFL that he can still actually play football!..

What???!!! He kicked three, should have had 4 and he doesn’t have a role??

Dig a bit deeper than just the goals. What does he provide? He had 5 touch’s, 5. All of them from the hard work of his teammates hitting him up on a lead. So he did absolutely nothing in general play, zero, nada, nothing. Had 1 tackle. He offers nothing Walker isn’t already providing and much more. Would rather another small who can provide defensive pressure and more touch’s in general play, go back to the two tall setup with Tex and Frampton/Berg/TT.

Could easily justify 6 changes to that side, but i'll be happy with 2.

OUT

Frampton - has to go. He's just a big lump, and when he does actually mark it he cant kick it.
Lynch - if he is injured he cant play, he was woeful.
Kelly - today has ruined everything he did last week, wont get dropped but he should be.

McAdam saved himself, so too Hamill who does look a bit confused as to whether he needs to be more attacking or more defensive. McHenry stays because Jones needs more time in the 2s and Pedlar the same

IN

Thilthorpe - If anyone else says he's not ready they can GAGF. Even if he's as bad as Frampton itll be worth giving him a run at home
Hately - Need more grunt, and Fog isnt an AFL midfielder.....yet.
Worrell - Surely its time

Now it gets hard because we dont really have much else, some of our top ups have been the next best.

Play Murphy in the midfield rotations, he's shown he's up to it from minimal opportunities and it's worth remembering he was a Northern Knights M.V.P. playing almost exclusively midfield. He might not be tall but he's built like a brick outhouse and gets great drive from his hips and strong thighs. Size hasn't stopped Laird or Prestia from being excellent in and under mids. I think Nicks is warming to him in there anyhow as he seems to go to him when we're struggling a bit on ball this season.

Score Involvements
Fogarty - 5
Tom "The Connector" Lynch - 4

"Did absolutely nothing in general play"

Didn't think Butts was great today, another couple like that with McAsey in better form and we could rotate them

Good analysis 👍, we can agree to disagree, no harm in that. I just don’t see what others do in Fog. He’s a zero around the ground. He’s a 1990s footballer playing in 2021.
He kicked 3 and had 5 score involvements, he did his job

Worrell, Pedlar, Thilthorpe are the changes we need. When they come in is only a matter of time. Bite the bullet.
