The other way problem is we’ve got too many we’d like to drop and not enough we’d like to bring inNot worth suggesting the five or six changes really, as we know we'll only make two, maybe three max
Nope, today he showed a LOT of offence to his game and often under great pressure. I would have him very high in our best players and that's a very small group today.18 possessions today is his PB
Today he showed some offence but overall he’s looking more like a Luke Brown replacement than a Brodie Smith
Of course things can change
The important thing is he’s a decent player now if not what we quite hoped for such a high pick
I could warm to thisWe simply have to try Jones in the midfield again. We know he can have a career at half back now but we need to try him in the guts again..
Agree with that , wouldn’t argue that pointNope, today he showed a LOT of offence to his game and often under great pressure. I would have him very high in our best players and that's a very small group today.
I’ll also add:People want Thilthorpe when he’s been out the last few weeks with Covid and knee. He will come back through Sanfl as he should.
Strachan is no better than Rob. Rob will tear the Sanfl to shreds. But he’s tired so play both. Himmelberg out with Gollant.
Smith comes back in out goes Cook.
In Strachan, Smith, Worrell
Out Himmelberg, Gollant, Cook
The thing is we won’t pick him forward in AFL without playing him there first at sanfl level unless there was a covid or injury emergencyPeople forget Worrell was Vic Metro's best forward at the Nationals after being switched forward for the Nationals.
No way Murray should be rewarded after 2 really poor SANFL games.....and I'm a bit of a fan of his by the way. Murray's another that can also be switched forward and chop out in the ruck by the way....he does have a prodigious leap on him something all our forwards and rucks lack.
Not really. Defence will always struggle when there is no defensive pressure coming from midfield and forwards. The experiment of billy is over
I think the selectors have forgotten Worrell is in the squad.People forget Worrell was Vic Metro's best forward at the Nationals after being switched forward for the Nationals.

You watched the Nationals Worrell was pretty bloody good up forward was he not?The thing is we won’t pick him forward in AFL without playing him there first at sanfl level unless there was a covid or injury emergency
So maybe we should start playing him there now
Yep he wasYou watched the Nationals Worrell was pretty bloody good up forward was he not?
What will 8 changes achieve ? We will just be making 8 more next weekNot sure where to even begin with the changes. All I know is we need a lot of them, and some players need to have their papers stamped
And usually when we need 8 changes, the club backs them in
Disagree that Himmelberg looks disinterested. His hands found the ball on many occasions, but I think he dropped all except one.Much like Frampton, Worrell isn’t a very good one on one defender, which is what we need back there right now. Murray is ok in this regard. All of the other options are less than ok. It’s not an easy choice.
I wouldn’t be opposed to Worrell replacing Sholl on a wing or Gollant up forward though. I would love to see him get a crack but he’s just a bit of an awkward fit in a side containing all of Doedee, Hinge, Dawson, Jones, Hamill and Smith, as will be the case next week.
If Thilthorpe isn’t right to go then Fog comes in for Berg (again, this doesn’t excite me). Himmelberg has now strung together 3 poor games and needs to go. Looks disinterested.

We could literally make 16 changes on form
But there is also a lack of talent especially in mid to come in
I’d like to see Straughan play , it’s time . Outside of that I struggle to care too much
until Thilthorpe is ready
Worrell and Parnell at some point too
Yes I had Jones,Dawson and Berry in amongst our best.Nope, today he showed a LOT of offence to his game and often under great pressure. I would have him very high in our best players and that's a very small group today.
Clever trick dropping Soligo who played SANFL yesterday...Out: O'Brien, Schoenberg, Sholl, Soligo, Frampton
In: Thilthorpe, Pedlar, Parnell, Murphy, Murray/Borlase
Both O'Brien and Strachan are yesterday's ruckmen, it's time we stopped being the most reactive club in the league, and took a proactive step for a change and develop Thilthorpe as our #1 ruck. He's big, skilled by hand and foot above and below the knees, athletic, and last year was dynamic at the centre bounces against larger and more experienced opponents after ROB has been soundly beaten. Being able to play him as a KPF is a luxury later in life, not what we should be pursuing as a first choice.
They are not going to drop both of O'Brien and Himmelburg, its one or the other, I think they will go with the 2 ruck Straun + O'Brien -means himmelburg out next week...Thilthorpe is still no good as far as i know doubt hes in consideration.Out: O'Brien, Himmelberg, Frampton, Murphy, Sholl, Brown
In: Strachan, Thilthorpe*, Worrell, McHenry, Smith, Parnell
*McAsey can come in if Thilthorpe isn't fit, Himmelberg must not play
Start Hinge in defence and Dawson on the wing, don't waste half the game figuring that out
The midfield was garbage but I'd like to see all of Hately, Schoenberg and Berry go around again before making changes, and I'd like to see Soligo back up his game and Pedlar find some touch
hell he was feet from kicking 2 goals wasn't far off things puts in is a kid and a star in the making a rest maybe but not dropped Silvani obviously a better ruckman than O Brien Himmelberg and Hately a couple times at least has the ball on the ground and were unable to handball or grab it looked like they were wobbly turtles looking for their willy it was so embarrasing the rules of the game are a mess the i don;t like afl much anyomore after 50 years of passion just a stupid corrupt organization with the worst sport commentators on the planet x 1000000He was awful. Performances like that can't be rewarded. He needs a rest.
