I'm calling it now. Rob wiley is a Demon plant.
He is very smart coach. I can see why mad Mick loved him. After years of the Goldern Greek talking nicely to them, facing Wiley must be a scary prospect for the players. One game we were up 8 or so goals at three quarter time and he just few off the handle. Named players, yell and was very scary. I played footy when this was normal and it was still one of the best sprays i have heard.

Sandilands is an anomaly. He's 33 now, yet when fully fit, he's easily in the top 5 ruckman still. He's still pretty mobile for a guy his size and age too. I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be the Dustin Fletcher of ruckman. Just continuing on each year until he's 40.

I doubt he will, of course, but I would be totally fine if he did.

Top 5? He is the number 1 ruckman in the league. 3 Brownlow votes v Goldstein in a loss. Never been close the beaten by Nic Nat. Towelled Gawn up embarrassingly last season, and he's the only ruckman playing better this season.

Sandilands doesn't only win the ruck, when he loses a hit out it's rarely to their advantage. Takes double the contested marks of any other ruckman.

Hopefully at least three more seasons.

He was number 1 maybe two years ago, but I think Goldstein and Gawn are in front of him now. Sandilands is the best pure ruckman still, but Goldstein and Gawn are definitely better around the ground.

Sandilands impact around the ground is severely underrated. He plays on the inside and his in close work is excellent.

And ruckmen have little around the ground impact when the play against him. Those stupid comments from Leigh Matthews still hang around in peoples thinking.

Until a ruckman beats Sandilands i will not concede his no 1 ranking to one of those pretenders.

realistically I can't see much more than Griff + Langdon coming in for Clarke + Hannath.
Would like to see Sutcliffe go, but as of right now we have no real replacements for him, although I wouldn't be against Morabito coming straight back for us.
Think over the rest of the season, as more players come back: Sutcliffe, Suban, D.Pearce, Collins and Tucker will all miss some games or go close to missing. Would personally prefer to see Dawson put under more fire than Collins but doubt it.

Our best bet is to get Apeness to focus on training as a ruckman fulltime. Tell him to watch Mumford and how he goes about it.

Apeness has the agility and endurance. He's tall and he wants to hurt people.

I'm pretty sure I read that he was Vic Metro's main ruckman and was pretty decent.
I'd much prefer we focus on him as a forward/second ruck. Too short for number one ruck, apparently he has good hands, so put him inside 50.

Play Clarke. 4 games until he raises his bat, thus entitling us to mini-Clakkas. Clakkas Tackers if you will.

Currently our available players outside the 22 players that played against Collingwood are Ibbotson, Langdon, Deluca and Hurley. Griffin, Morabito and Hughes are a chance of being available for Round 16, pending fitness tests.

I'll be very interested to see who gets the third emergency slot if Griff and Hughes fail their respective fitness tests. Would it be Morabito, Deluca or Hurley??

Pending match ups you'd think Collins would continue to play given that AP is out for the rest of year and he's a mature player...get as many games into him as possible...going great guns :)

Rest I totally agree with especially D Pearce & Sutty
