It will be interesting to see who they drop.

McKenzie has not been great but Skinner is pretty green.

Jonas, Clurey, McKenzie is essentially the 2020 set up so running patterns and positioning should feel familiar.

Probably save us a couple of goals a game but that probably won’t be enough vs Melbourne.

Regardless, none have the height or athleticism to run with Luke Jackson

The only thing in our favour is it's a night game

Obviously last year is skewed due to the number of wins....

Night games
Richmond (H) W 79-77
Carlton (A) W 96-68
St Kilda (H) W 93-39
Brisbane (A) L 44-93
Adelaide (H) W 87-38
Bulldogs (H) L 77-96
Geelong (H) L 91-112
Sydney (H) W 81-71
Hawthorn (A) W 87-53
Melbourne (H) L 55-86
Collingwood (A) W 97-69 (marvel)
GWS (A) W 100-73 (marvel)
Adelaide (A) W 55-51
Bulldogs (A) W 66-64 (marvel)

Finals
Geelong (H) W 86-43
Bulldogs (H) L 116-45

Interestingly we had a 10-4 record in night games in the home and away season, and a total of 11-5
We scored 100 points once, which was at Marvel, where we won all our night games, and won all of our games last season at 6-0

Fyi in night games Dixon kicked 35 goals

Sydney (H) was twilight.

5-4 @ Adelaide Oval (N) in a season where we won 18 games on the year.

Imagine if we actually had a commanding home ground advantage of the likes West Coast, Sydney, Geelong and Brisbane typically enjoy when they’re good.

I guess the positive aspect last year was we lost at home to good teams and beat everyone else

Meanwhile this year... Hawks and cows... ugh

If we could get the umpiring advantage at home that Adelaide get ...

Have you seen Skinner.... We are desperate.

Has there been a worse piece of recruiting since we paid $3m for Rocky?
Any 'missing piece ' fits into worse recruiting.

Skinner was recruited as 'in case of catastrophe maybe break glass, but think first'

The fact he came in 1 week into the season even though we've have pasini on our list says a lot more of our recruiting.

I'm concerned they didn't do any testing on skinner pre recruitment considering he's a turtle. But I was hoping to see him at best late in the season or next year to actually build up his tank and attempt to put him on a sprint program to see if he regains his speed.

Because he wasn't a statue when he was still at brissy.

Or West Coast. Admittedly that would be handy

I would try really hard not to be embarrassed by that big a leg up!

I will admit I only remember their armchair rides, but considering how woeful they've been the last 3 years, to continually manage to get that free kick count into the black (sorry Text) over a year is some achievement.

Or the Western Bulldogs home or away.

That time in 2016 when we actually got a decent run against them, and Matthew Boyd felt the need to address it at 3QT.

The only club to have a positive all-time free kick tally at home, away and in finals — the mighty ‘first to the ball’ Footscray/Western Bulldogs.

Must be nice.

Exactly the point i was thinking as i was typing it
