Sounds like Gawn is a big chance to play.
What is this logic? We were the better side all day though. On the same basis we probably stole the 2 against Collingwood. That leaves losing all three close-to-50/50 games.
very risky on a wet Optus surfaceSounds like Gawn is a big chance to play.
I actually don’t mind this. Darcy and Jackson know they can keep up with an underdone Gawn. Might be trauma speaking but Melb going in without a genuine ruckman is one of those left field things that tend to completely throw us off

Pearce flew to LauncestonI doubt they risk their best player, if he gets on the plane I'm sure he's right to go.
Pearce flew to Launceston
this from afl.com.au today
"Gawn is determined to play against the Dockers, but he's likely to be given at least one more week to recover."
Teams this year have been desperate to beat Freo, so they will probably risk him. They would be seeking redemption as well.Fingers crossed! He was part of match sim training today so must be very close.
If he is nearly 100% he will play.Teams this year have been desperate to beat Freo, so they will probably risk him. They would be seeking redemption as well.
Demons after wins not 'redemption', Goodwin says ahead of Dockers
Last time Melbourne played Fremantle it lost by 92 points, but Simon Goodwin says he's in charge of a different side nowwww.afl.com.au
I just hope we winDifference between Pearce last week and Gawn this week.
Melbourne are currently outside the 8 and need to do everything they can to get there.
We're focused on having the best chance in finals.
(And yes, winning and top four does that, but no need to risk the Skipper and KPD when you don't have to)
Jloe needs to make the team more unpredictable. If he is a decent coach or wants to show he can throw curve balls if we are in a sticky situation like against the hawks throw a sicley move like Sam Mitchell. Moving one player can make the difference jloe must show that he is capable of doing this.
Not surprised on Gawn considering it'll be wet too and the surface.Teams have been announced
no Gawn
