Lecras will either have an excellent game tomorrow or a horrible one. He is the kind of player that will try to kick the miracle goal or have a ping from a bad spot when he has a team mate in a better position. He knows he is out of form and under alot of pressure to perform so i expect him to be very selfish.

Lecras almost retired at the end of last year due to his degenerative hip condition. How injured it is or how flared up it is atm only the club truly knows however to say he wasn't injured at all is bullshit.

You can see it happening before it does... players will be going all out to give him joe the goose goals so it's looks good in the paper and inevitably they will stuff a couple up on shots they should have taken.. or this tactic will fail and he will be trying dribble kicks from fifty like he was before he went out.. either way Simpson has made a rod for his own back cause if he fails then what? Will he be able to say the words he has been dropped ??

Yeah I said I agree that Priddis shouldn't come straight back in, but if Lecras in means Karpany spends more time up the ground in the extra midfielder role that Masten plays I think that's a net win. Has Masten showed enough this year to be guaranteed a game ahead of what Lecras provided for the first few months when everyone's fit?

Why does winning the game last week mean it should be reviewed differently? If we play the exact same for 115 minutes out of 120 except the Dogs kick the last goal instead of Vardy would you think these changes make more sense?[/QUOTE]

.

Absolutely, because I don't believe we would have even been in a position to win the game if Priddis and LeCras played last week, especially with our best forward missing. It was our better mix of mids with pace and our delivery inside the forward 50 that allowed us to score as much as we did. Redden was directly responsible for two goals though flat passes to a forward inside 50, which never would have happened with Priddis.

Having spoken to two senior players in my role as a journalist, and one senior official, I can tell you that there is. Expect a few players to 'just want out' at the end of the year.

Geez, having seen how you react when told not to use a particular term I feel a great deal of pity for your editor.

I really think people need to pull their heads out of their arse. Lecca has had 3 bad games and been injured. His first 8 rounds were great and he would have very likely been top 5 in the B+F at the time. His 4th last game he had a good game but kicked 3 behinds. His 3rd last game was pretty average and he was definitely affected by something. His final 2 games were trash. He's had time off for injury and is now coming back.

His last 4 games he's kicked 0 goals 9 behinds. I tell you what Nima he kicks 2 or more goals and you don't post for a month, he kicks any less and i won't post for a month.
His first 8 weren't great. He did ok. Ball in hand he was ok, but he wasn't a team player. Last year he was terrible. Extremely selfish and half his gials were from JK passing of a certain goal he should have kicked. I love the bloke and what he's done, but he needs to offer more without the ball and make unselfish decisions when he does. We suffer by his lack of defensive efforts. At round 8 we were the bottom 3 for tackles in our 50. That's shit house and a mark against our small forwards.

I huge game for our top 4 chances and the MC bring back out of form players. Truly unbelievable mind you I didn't expect much more from them they really are a joke
All I have to ask is "do the coaching staff/MC have any idea what they're doing?" - they sure as hell don't know how to select the best 22! As Redden didn't do any thing wrong last week and his delivery into the forward line was a sight to behold in comparison to Priddis, how come Priddis comes straight back in & Redden gets dropped. Due to his lack of form, Priddis should have to earn his way back into the side by finding form at EP.

I'm a bit disappointed with the ins this week, Lecras and Priddis just haven't been anywhere good enough this year. If they're carrying injuries, then why not let them rest for a spell.

Thinking optimisticly, the only logic i can follow is that this is the MC unequivocally backing the players in for a final time. Perhaps they feel injuries or soreness were the cause of some of the form issues. I don't think Lecras would have played had Kennedy been fit.

I just hope they adjust if things don't work.
How many final times has there been this year by the MC re their selections? They couldn't organise a p**s up in a brewery!

All I want from Lecras is that he converts those shots that are gettable at at least 2/3 (66% or higher). That game he kicked 0.3 really should have been 2.1 for someone like him having set shots on not too tight an angle.

I do believe he was injured as he basically hasn't played any footy except what he's been doing at training, plus he also missed a training or two, but I do think he's lucky to come straight back in.

A very achievable scoreline of 100-60 our way tomorrow gets us 4th spot pending the Melbourne game. If we win a few more of these games and we get JK and Nic (god I pray) back then we could have a chance at doing a Bulldogs.
