Just an initial comment on your point on home wins skewing a WA coaches win loss record

32 home wins is from 46 home games which means 21 wins and a draw from 38 away games. A >50% strike rate away from home is quite reasonable and if you're going to discount home wins due to home ground advantage you need to acknowledge the difficulties faced in winning away from home - it balances out

You make some fair points in the rest of your post that I'll consider and respond to later

what you said is fair enough regarding the away win record, I am not disputing it. My biggest concern as a fan is the losses and two key areas when we lose:

• Margin
• The manner that we lose

These two usually work hand in hand. I would have no issues at all going to a game and see our boys dish it out to the opposition and lose by 10 goals. I will leave the stadium knowing that the better team won, we played the best we could and weren't good enough. Unfortunately,I haven't seen that yet and usually it shouldn't happen. The manner we lose is alarming.The manner we win is also alarming.
This is what separates elite coaches to the rest of the comp. Regardless of the scoreboard you stick to the plan the coach instructs and go hard till the siren goes. Once this DNA is imprinted into the team, you are half way there towards success. Also with this kind of mentality, you have a structure in place, meaning long term injuries should not significantly effect your result. It is funny how ppl say we are cooked if shuey, NIC Nat and JK are out for a season. So basically we are admitting that we are a predictable team relying on individuals. Of course those guys are elite and any team would struggle, but there is a difference between struggle and getting demolished by opposition having your top 3 players out. So the game plan is top heavy individual based.

Simmo doesn't have the list to work with is bunch of BS and nothing but an excuse. He has had this role for 4 years and he cannot blame the list anymore.Name me a club who has the prefect list?? You show your worth as a coach getting results with what you got.Our list is not the worst in the comp by any stretch.

Maybe this is not the correct thread to discuss this, but if i was simmo i would go up to Priddis and tell him, big fella, I just dropped 21 touches, 19 contested, 91% efficiency player for you, you better at least get me that.

Kennedy - Petrie (Loss)
Hill - Cripps (Draw)
Mutimer - Karpany (Draw)

Forward line less potent due to the ongoing absence of JK. Small forwards about the same

Giles - Lycett (Win)
Masten - Jetta (Win)
Redden - Duggan (Draw)

Better ruck, better wingman, Duggan more defensive side than redden

Butler - Mackenzie (Win)

Mackenzie arguably quicker than Butler now and reinforces a backline that was put under pressure by ports tall forwards

Other than Redden being replaced by Priddis I'm not seeing much else wrong with selection bearing in mind an injury free Lecras kicked 4 goals against Port last start

Tbf LeCras has been struggling with injury, and Priddis really only had 2 poor games on the trot. It's more that we're bringing in players who probably won't contribute to our next few years, that has people upset.

Their credits are running out fast, though.

Either case it does not look good for Simmo and MC.Why play an injured player for so long? What does that say about our MC?? either they are lying to us or if they are telling the truth, they just admitted on paying an injured player. Horrible situation to be.

Yep, so glad Karps has kept his spot, deservedly so, and i hope they leave him in now for a good run at it as he brings what we don't have. If Redden being dropped is the go, i don't agree, would rather Mutimer in than Pridda. We are too tall, and not quick enough with the chosen team.

His first 8 rounds were great and he would have very likely been top 5 in the B+F at the time. His 4th last game he had a good game but kicked 3 behinds. His 3rd last game was pretty average and he was definitely affected by something. His final 2 games were trash. He's had time off for injury and is now coming back.

His last 4 games he's kicked 0 goals 9 behinds. I tell you what Nima he kicks 2 or more goals and you don't post for a month, he kicks any less and i won't post for a month.

Players play at below 100% every week, the coaches just decide that player X at 80% is a better option than player Y at 100%. Sometimes they get it wrong.

So now Lecras' is supposedly fully fit we'll see how he goes.

How about we make it less than 2 goals - no posting for a month by WCE_phil , more than 2 goals no posting for a month by Nima , 2 goals then neither of you post for 2 months?
