After seeing the VFL today there is no way Williams will be left out. Everitt was good and I think it's about time.

Out: Johnson, Minson, Reid (all inj), HAHN (retired lol)
In: Williams, Everitt, Hill, Stack

I would like to see Huddo get the majority of the ruck - Jolley style, with Williams and Everitt to provide some relief at times. Roughead did next to nothing in the VFL, and he wont be in our team come finals so his development can wait until next year.

People will call for Moles. Stack had a much better game than Moles in the VFL and is ahead of him in both talent and potential for the future. If Stack doesn't get the gig then Eagleton does. Sorry Brody.

I think we need to combat Carlton's small forwards, and probably need to get TImmy Callan back in the line up. ALthough he's not overly quick, hopefully he can play a lockdown role on an Eddie Betts, allowing Harbrow to go to Garlett, and Gilbee/Hargrave to Yarran.

I'd play Williams and Everitt as well, and without Waite for Carlton, we can afford to start Lake up forward. Put the onus back on Carlton to try and stop Lake and Hall together.

My changes would look like this;

OUTS: Minson, Reid, Johnson (inj), Hahn, Higgins (although that won't happen)

INS: Williams, Callan, Everitt, Roughead, (if Higgins got dropped, either Hooper/Stack)

Out: Johnno, Reid, Minson (all inj), Hahn
IN: Stack, Williams, Roughead, Everitt/Hooper

Although Roughead wasn't great yesterday, this is the right week to bring him in against a Krezeur-less Carlton ruck department (Although the same arguement can be made to play just one ruckman, I prefer the option of developing Roughy)

Williams is fit and must come back in and Brennan 'Seat-Warmer' Stack comes in again to replace Johnno.

I'm beginning to think its curtains for Hahn (maybe a very viable option for the GC if we can somehow convince them to look into him) and although Everitt is probably the obvious replacement for him, Hooper has been in great form (is 2nd in Williamstown's goal kicking, behind Little) and is the small crumbing forward type some of us have been calling for.

unless people want williams or everitt to do rucking again, we need roughead to come in, as he also will provide a target up forward.

Eagleton for Reid
Everitt for Johnson
Williams/Roughead for Minson

i have seen a couple of things on the news with Johno saying he will be right to play on the weekend...I hope they dont pick him though.
Also, i saw last night on the news there is a possibility of Griff getting suspended for his tiny, tiny, tiny, accidental hit on Mitchell. Surely not?
Agree with an above post about bringing Timmy Callan in against Carlton's small forward line.
Everitt to do relief rucking for Hudson

Out: Reid, Johno, Minson (all inj), Hahn (Useless, adds nothing)
In: Callan, Everitt, Williams, Stack

If Griff gets weeks for that I will stop watching football!

Out: Reid Johno Minson (injured) Hahn (its time to have a break)

In: Everitt Williams Stack (going off peoples reports from willy yesterday) Roughead (unless we go the one ruck with Williams/Everitt back up which may work with Carltons rucks) and maybe it could be a good week to try one of Jones/Hooper.

Willaims went to VFL and played a very good game so he is in
Higgins should have played in the VFL too if Eade didn't get weak at the knees at the sight of him

in Roughhead - out Minson injured
in Williams - out Hahn
In Everitt - out Higgins
In Hooper - out Johnson injured and old
In Eagleton - out Reid injured
In Jones - out Gia ( maybe a step too far but it would send the
right message)

I seriously cant understand all the Gia bashing, our forward line isnt going great at the moment and hes been one of the only forwards to play well pretty much the whole year.

We need to take our chances with shots on goals and he is a good set shot and he knows where the goals are, he has been in our top 10 players this year IMO and after one not even bad just quiet game everyone is all over him.

I was happy with Gia's game on Friday night. No way he goes.

Roughead - Minson (injured)
Everrit - Hahn (dropped)
Stack - Johnson (injured)
Callan - Reid (injured)

Not a massive Callan fan but we need him against Carlton. Wouldnt be totally opposed to the Everitt ruck thing if we want to go smaller against Carlton.

I doubt you will see many changes in our line-up
Not many in the Ants showed enough to unseat last weeks 22.
Lucas is a chance as would Warnock.
Bower if his quad improves is an outside chance
Ratts is a firm believer in not changing a winning formula even though that winning formula played by and large pathetic footy
Look forward to a good contest between 2 teams desperate to play consistent winning footy with both looking to set up a run to the finals
On paper Dogs easy but if our midfield plays close to its ability, if our tall fwds present and if our small fwds kick a bag full perhaps our weak back line will not be put to the sword too much and we may make it a decent game

Out: Minson, Reid (injured) Hahn
In: Roughead, Everitt, Eagleton

Johnson will recover in time
Higgins is lucky
Doubt they will bring Williams in against a forward line with 3 smalls

Callan - Reid (injured)

NO

You would prefer DFA perhaps, fred? :p

Not a big fan of chopping and changing player positions - think that's partly what has gotten us into this mess. However, for this particular match, I would throw things around a little. Rotate Lake through the forward line is a definite, between him, Hall and Roughead as well as any other talls we rest down there should maybe make up for our shocking I50 delivery. That being said, I'd be happy with something like this:

Out: Johnson, Minson (if required), Reid, Hahn.
In: Hill/Stack, Roughead, (if Minson is out), Williams, Everitt

Don't want to see Johno again until he is actually right to play. Ditto Hahn. Forward structure must be maintained throughout the game - any player nomintated as a permanent forward who drifts beyond the centre line should be put on notice that they will be playing for Willy for the remainder of the season. Play Higgins out of the forward pocket, he's currently not up to midfield duties. Play Hall up the ground, don't allow him to get isolated 3 on 1 in the goalsquare - that's Lakes job. Sit Everitt on the wing/hff, rotating him back when Lake goes forward if spare man is required. Rest Roughead in the goalsquare when Lake is rotated back. Have Hill/Stack strapped to Lakes/Rougheads boot when either of those is forward. May need to play Picken on one of the three amigos instead of their midfielders - seems we're one small close-checking defender short, not convinced Callan/DFA are up to playing stopping roles on those guys, and we need to nullify them at ground level or we could be plenty hurt. That being said, I haven't seen many Williamstown games, so if Callan is playing well, would consider him instead of Hill/Stack, use Grant as the crumber instead.

If DFA and Callan play for this club in the same side again I will tear my membership up(na just aking the piss) but I will get a one man tent and sit outside the Western Oval in protest until they are removed:rolleyes:

Can you sit in the coaches box this weekend :) excluding the Callan point
