Fahiita needs to learn to respect the jumper, once again. I agree he needs to spend a week with Casey... before hopefully returning to really put in.Who tf have we got? List depth is the worst its been since Neeld years. From what I saw Spargo was garbage. Rushed back in. Fritta is absolutely useless and has been for awhile. He can have a spell. Whether it's him or Goody that's causing his slump, he's not looking anywhere near the same player as a few years ago.
I'm OK with this as an option, but we need to see how we go without snaky Jake...Disco isn't working as a forward. Move him.back if Lever is injured. No idea if May or Windsor will be available. I dint think it will make a difference.
Its not so much the players imv... but more-so our old method of bringing the ball forward for the past 4 or 5 years.Windsor was on crutches today, can't see him playing anytime soon. And as you say, it wouldn't really make a difference anyway.
Fritsch has been rubbish but then so have all our forwards. Combination of crowding the forward line, horrible/non existent leading patterns, and the big one - putrid entries.
Shuffling deckchairs on Titanic territory right now.
He Windsor had hospitalisation for this issue in the preseason, and it has flared again.Quite often crutches are more to aid the resting these days as opposed to a sign it's long term. Given it's an infection I'd say it's more just for the sake of rest.
He's starting to age. What was wrong with Max?
He needs to sharpen up, agreed, but he has the ability to kick well. and run well in chains.I'm gonna put the blowtorch on Bowey here.
His kicking is really irritating me at the moment. Both last weekend and several times over the pre-season he's just kicked it straight to the opposition aimlessly.
There was one moment on Sunday where he just kicked it straight into the middle of the ground to a group of North players under no real pressure, which resulted in a turnover goal to them.
This is his 5th year at the club, not good enough.
Try him Bowey from the wing, with Lindsay and Windsor back, when all are in the side.I've been big on trying him forward as well, and while the few howlers he has really stand out, he's also our 5th best for kicking efficiency at 82.9% so this feels like one of those classic things a couple of BigFooty posters bring up and then it somehow becomes fact.
Howes (37.5), Sparrow (38.5) and Fritsch (40.0) are the ones to be pointing this stick at.
How about JvR & Turner, Melk & Langford, Chandler, Sharp.I can't wait for the incredibly nimble forward line of JVR, Johnson, Fritsch, Melk and Turner![]()
Sam Mitchell hasn't reinvented the wheel. What I wouldnt give for someone confident enough in themselves like a Sam Mitchell to come to this club and just say **** it, im willing to eat some dead money to move forward and piss guys like Viney off like he did O'Meara and Mitchell.
Completely missed the point I was making. Read it again.Sam Mitchell hasn't reinvented the wheel.
Hardwick was the most recent coach to put run and carry back into focus, when with the tigers.
He chose small nimble running players, when everyone was taking big-mids... when the great flood was happening.
We are currently heading back towards 80's footy... without the biffo.
What's with the absolute nuff rhetoric that he was rewarded for heart and soul and loyaltyI am honestly starting to despise Viney as a footballer. Not only is he clearly a Goody favourite but to con the club into giving him a 4 year extension when its pretty clear that he is cooked was just a huge list blunder.
And now we are stuck with him stifling Langford midfield development and constant butchering of the footy inside 50 for the next 4 years.
Happy days.
Would think AJ for Jeffo is the easiest decision of the week. They'll drop TMac and leave Petty back right?
They won't send one of them forward to replace Jeffo right?
...
...right?
Im starting to feel like we will get a response (sadly). If we pack it in like last week alarm bells are going to be blaring, can see players only and crisis meetings not far away. This is going to be ultra-embarrassment.
Yes. You can quote me on Saturday afternoon.
Suns will start slow after having a weird start to the season and being generally unreliable.
We'll probably get a 5 goal lead at some stage only to see it whittled down and have a coin toss finish.
Win or lose it will be an unenjoyable watch.
Imo there'd be nothing worse than a fall over the line nothing win against the Suns.
Worst case scenario, GC do what GC do and just don't show up and we score 100 not actually doing anything good and Goody just winks down the Barrel "see I told you so"Imo there'd be nothing worse than a fall over the line nothing win against the Suns.
I'd prefer that cause it would at least be somewhat fun to watch and would be totally unsustainable, so the sugar hit will only last until we get pumped by the Cats the following week. If we win the pressure will come off him for a week regardless of how we do it.Worst case scenario, GC do what GC do and just don't show up and we score 100 not actually doing anything good and Goody just winks down the Barrel "see I told you so"
Not me, I'll continue to stoically fight the fight of hate until it meaningfully changesI'd prefer that cause it would at least be somewhat fun to watch and would be totally unsustainable, so the sugar hit will only last until we get pumped by the Cats the following week. If we win the pressure will come off him for a week regardless of how we do it.
