Oh no, not you too...

Oh and no you won't ;)

Oh yes I will darling.

Should've been dropped a few weeks ago. Being part of the Leadership Team must give him some sort of immunity.

He is Ratten's lovechild. Makes me sick.. If you don't have the basic skills you should not be playing AFL.

Our MC is as gutless as the players it needs to send back. Murphy, Gibbs, Carrazzo and Scotland can do what they want out there and can't be dropped. They are free to skirt about getting as much of the easy ball as they can while laying no body on, no shepherds, no bumps, poor tackles and second rate attack on the contested ball. It's a joke, it really is.

Changes will be made, but the wont be the right ones, count on it.

Being realistic ie knowing MC and mindful of the ground
OUT Lucas inj Walk susp
IN Warnock Ellard
Hammo to play FF and Hendo or Waite to go back for Walks. It could be argued however that we should/could have been developing Hammo as a FF in the Ants

Would like to put the cat amongst the pigeons however and add
OUT Carrots and Mitch (shade unlucky)
IN Hadley and Fish or Wiggo
i can confirm that we have been developing him as FF for the past year or so
source? his grandma plays bingo with my grandpa each saturday and my pa tells me all!!
he also was close to not playing with a rolled ankle during the week

How is your grandpa's ankle? Didn't think bingo was that physical.

Out: Carazzo, Joseph, Yarran, Scotland, Lucas(inj)
In: Warnock, Ellard, Wiggins, Browne, White, (Fisher if Walker susp.)

Although Yarran may survive as it's a trip to perth... he doesn't deserve a spot.

I agree that Gibbs is lucky to not get dropped.

Carazzo is our modern day Hulme... Joseph is nothing but pace and doesn't even seem to have much of that lately either.

Warnock and Browne will be good additions as they are familiar with the ground.

Wiggins and Ellard in for some heart.

Also.. we've played at the dome a few times the last couple of weeks... we know the ground is f'in slippery.. why the fu!k were our players wearing the wrong type of boots for that ground!

Hampson has to play deep forward at Subi, could cause a few headaches and I firmly beleive this will be his best spot going forward with a year or 2 development in this role.

We need to forget about the now and plan for the future and Hampson's future is our long bail out kick to the top of the square... (Kurt Tippett type option).

In order to do this we have to decide if we bring Warnock to assist Jacobs or if he comes into replace him to give him a rest for a week or 2.

Warnocks former home ground might see him get a recall this week.

IN: WIGGINS a must(in middle blocking for Judd whoever is on Judd Wiggo tags/smashes into non stop),Fisher(can't do any worse than Hendo and Fish actually holds his marks)Warnock(Time for 206 to earn his money),Hadley(hard midfielder much needed) Ellard(give the kid a go already may prove to be better than AJ) Houlihan(need his silky skills up fwd) OUT: Lucas(inj),Gibbs(get back to 2nds and prove to yourself you can play lost confidence?Ratten?),AJ(what has happened to this promising kid?Ratten?)Henderson (looks sore give him a rest),Carrazzo(too many turnovers for older player too soft) Walker(probably suspended) We also need to change from that shamble of Etihad to MCG as home base for games. That surface no good and maybe causing fatigue in legs of players. If it wasn't the AFL's prized project there wouldn't be a game played on it clubs would complain.

Robinson - He has provided us with some grunt occasionaly throughout the year but hes been shit lately. Skills arent up to AFL standard, decision making is shocking and he just needs a spell with the ants to get his confidence back up.
.

Nothing gives you more confidence than being told you're not good enough for the team..

Ps. 3 goal assists today (should of been 4) Absolutely shit, what a ****ing shit loser.. just ****ing terrible. shit. Relax mate. You're not calm..

Pps. Disposal efficiency 87%, best for carlton

Really?

Bad move to drop one of the few players who actually dared to take on Sydney and run with the ball.

Every game we get into Yarran will be re-paid tenfold in the future.

Everyone wants to play rookies, yet you want to drop Yarran for Wiggins.

And bring in Warnock without dropping another tall.

Hmmm.

I would pick Browne instead of Carrazzo.

We're getting to the stage where we might have to see what we have on our list.

Move AJ back into the middle.

Or have Browne tag Masten if the WC player is picked.

Browne did a job on Masten last year.

We need to play the kids, our main core players are letting us down big time. I have suggested we play Davies, Ellard and Johnson but I wouldn't mind seeing Casboult get a run. Enough of the "not ready for it" bullshit. Other teams who have played the kids have been rewarded, lets give it a crack.

There is too much arrogance in our team, from players who haven't earned the arrogance and who think they can just roll on with mediocre performances and receive another contract, another game and another pay check.
Lets drop our stars back to the VFL and bloody leave them there until they show some initiative and hardness around the ground. I'm sick of watching fairies like Gibbs, Murphy, Scotland and Carrazzo play non-contact football.

Would rather watch a bunch of kids play and have a real go and get beaten than the marshmallows who are getting guaranteed games every week.

Would do us no harm playing big Levi I assure you.

Not sure we need to bring Wiggins or Fisher back for the 100th time. We always bring them back and a few weeks later we'll be winging about them because they are no good. They aren't the future, have the guts and play the youth and don't be afraid to blood a heap of players in the one game MC. Playing Wiggins and fisher would be a step backwards.

Bringing Levi in now would be throwing him to the wolves. Not fit enough to be an AFL level forward yet and wouldn't be too good in the ruck.

At least say Cachia or Donaldson or Dare.

Fisher has performed really well since coming back and would be right up there when it comes to getting named.

If Hammo is FF why can't we have 2 rucks? Remember you have told us many times how fast he is, so surely if we pretend his is only 188cm then we cant be top heavy ;)

That must have been Browne's one and only good game (who is Masten anyway). You are a huge fan of Browne's TG and I know he is only 21.5yo but I cannot see him making it. He was supposed to be tought but for as much as anything else, he was dropped for not being so.

Need to understand that Joseph will be taken to full back no matter who he plays on as a tagger, Ablett did it and most teams are doing it regardless of who he plays on... why??? because he has absolutely no talent or ability to do anything else and the opposition teams see him as a weak link and isolate him in the defensive goal square!!!

They more or less do what basketball teams do!!! they take him down to the "low post" and absolutely destroy him because its a mismatch in size and ability.

There is no low post area on the footy field but they do take him to a scoring area to exploit him, should not be playing senior footy I am afraid. Do you think Shaw started deep forward today??? or did he take our weak link there by design???

This does happen but not in this case. Yes Shaw did play from the goal square and, from memory, before Joseph we also tried others on him to no avail. Please correct me if I'm wrong

In: Ellard, Fisher or Wiggins, Hadley, Browne, Davies

Out: Carrazzo, Walker, Lucas, Murphy, Joseph

Jamison lucky to stay in; no one to come in.

Gibbs lucky to stay in. Kind of looks like he is trying but just isn't backing himself. Unlike Murphy who sticks tackles softer then a roasted Marshmellow.

Houlihan can come back in if he is fit.

Possibly bring in some heart too.

???? Along with Waite, Yarran was the only bloke having a real crack when the game was still on in the first half.

So you call having a crack when you're given the ball and you just decide to run...

What about without the ball... he had opportunities to try and lay a strong tackle.. yet would stand there waving arms out and half-arse tackle attempts. I'm not bagging the kid for he is a kid but we've got too many players too afraid of the rough stuff at the moment and either he's caught the infection or he just is being lazy.

He gives up the chase too easy as well... he is too much an outside player at the moment and needs to start focusing on getting his hands a little dirtier.

yeah but he is still one of the few players that can create and make things happen.
For not chasing .. we can look to Judd Murph and Gibbs too.

Why stop with Yarran???

Look what happens now with who comes in and who doesnt is imaterial.
The players are undrilled.. theyre obviously confused... three different game plans in the first 10 weeks has knocked them about.
Ratts does not have the pin number to key into the ATM and collect.
He is totally clueless.
He cannot challenge!!!

My info is he has been given notice and has till the end of the season to turn things aorund.

Lets see!!....

Clearly you were off getting a pie in the second Q when he chased about 50m to lay a tackle, and managed to drag the guy who kicked.....while Juddy was still jogging at CHF spectating.
I agree that he needs more consostency of effort, but this criticism should be more fairly aimed at those who have been around long enough for that level of effort and consistency to be epectated........Murphy, Judd, Simpson, Carrazzo and Scotland all spring to mind.
he is too much an outside player at the moment and needs to start focusing on getting his hands a little dirtier.
Quite right.

I want our quickest player (on field with ball in hand that is..........testing at training doesn't count Hammer) and possibly our best user of the ball to forget about that and start getting his 19 y.o. frame in and under the bottom of packs.

Allow the likes of Carrazzo, Murphy, Gibbs and Judd, with their sublime speed and finishing skills to get onto the end of a few more.

All good outside players should become inside players.

i guess it is a matter of perspective i have been at the last 2 games and share the frustration being vented here but this talk of dropping gibbs and or murphy is beyond me. They have both been very poor the last two weeks ( although all anger seems to be pointed at gibbs ) with our season hanging on by a thread WHAT are you going to replace them with an unproven ellard ( who will come in for lucas anyway) or a proven bit player in johnson, now is the time to back our quality players in and let them prove there worth to the team.

In times of trouble you should be turning to your better players and putting the heat on them to turn it around judd let kieran jack run around and make him look ordinary in the first half yesterday but oddly enough no one is calling for his head.

For mine there is not a lot of quality in the bullants that can come in and have an immediate impact ( yes some are better than those currently getting a game) but tipping guys out from our top end will not help us short or long term.
