Mate, don't defend the prick. He is a boob.
The NRL is so far behind its main rival in so many ways because of this piece of filth.

For doing the job he gets paid to do.

Why don't people ever get it and shoot the messenger so to speak.

The TV deal was negotiated by a board made up 50% of News Ltd, sold in large part to a Sports channel shown on a News Ltd medium. With the cosy C9 deal on the side.

News Ltd are at fault, not the employees having their strings pulled.

We'll see a completely different individual in Gallop once the IC is in place.

& haha, no need to quote, if we get beat so be it. But have I not been saying to you for weeks it won't happen? We are a different team to the one the Storm saw at Leichhardt now they have got the players focussed (& one of the trouble making elements, who was on the field that day, banished to reserve grade regardless of form)

Took 5 of the dogs to get Blair down. lol
Pack of weak pricks.

Yep. Wasn't Brett Stewart the third man in? Who came in and smashed Blair when he wasn't looking? Whoever it was should have also been sent off. Dog act and the kind of king hit that a few years ago outraged so many people..

Blair should have only had to sit out his minutes in the sin bin. I still don't know what he did wrong? G Stewart was the one who waited for him as we was walking off the ground, Blair pushed him... and gets a smack in the face and then who knows what from the pack of thugs in Manly jerseys and he gets the equal punishment?

Yep Brett Stewart third man in and in a lot of trouble.
And this is what meltiger is not getting about a biased Brookvale crowd. Ref too scared to upset the natives.

Firstly, SBS shouldn't be showing RL. Secondly, do you really think either if them will go head to head with the AFL in Melbourne?

But in NSW & Queensland, you can watch live AFL every week on Main Event on Foxtel. Nobody gets upset. The fans are happy they can watch live footy & Foxtel get further value for their footy supporter dollar.

Why can't we in Victoria watch NRL games on Main Event (free of charge)? It would be simple to orchestrate. And the game's half-owners win out of it as well. ;)

lol
I will boo the bloke because he is an incompetent twat who doesn't seem to care about a national comp.
And the fact he hasn't had the guts to come to a game in Melbourne all season.
Terrific leader he is.
Will deserve every single boo he gets and I plan to lead the way.
For me, it's got nothing to do with the penalties handed down, which were fair and just.

+1

I'll be joining in the booing for the same reasons you mentioned.

Added to that, there was an eery silence from him this year about broadcasting league games into Melbourne, irrespective of the fact there is a contract in place atm, he could have at least made some attempt at encouraging Ch.9 to do so. Even some fairy floss in the media would have been welcoming.

I actually think they may just hand out fines.

The only truely bad one out of all players was Stewart, and lets face it, he will go in there and play the brother card.

I'd be dissappointed if any other players got suspended. Although wouldn't be massively upset if A Blair was rubbed out for the rest of year so he doesn't get injured ;)

Too much is being made of the first Manly players to arrive just because they happened to be the first to get there.

They went in there and started laying into Blair while he was ok the ground. If atleast one or two had come in to break it up it wouldn't be as bad but it's not a good look when 5 players are all throwing punches to one defenceless player who it seems was hurt from Stewarts king hit.

That's about it in a nutshell really. If they were coming to break it up then nothing more happens, but they didn't and it only escalated it further.

As an ex ref the 3rd man in was usually the one we told to keep walking.

Brett Stewart running in grabbing at Blair's head didn't look good either.

I must say, Storm without Cronk - 2 weeks in a row - look very lost. Is Cam Smith injured? have the flu? To me he just doesn't seem to take control like he used to. Also Hinchcliffe needs to pull his head in. So undisciplined. Only for his little elbow jab while in possession of the ball was the cause of the whole mess. They just started to look like they were getting back in the game. After that though, they got whacked.

Bellamy will probably rip shreds of them this week. Wouldn't like to be the Roosters next Sunday.

Cam/Ian, EVERY player on the field ran towards the fight, the Manly players got there first as they had a shorter distance to run.

Any suggestion that Melbourne players wouldn't have done the same had they been attacking the other direction is sheer stupidity. & neither of you are that.

Brett should be in trouble as he could have near killed Blair, had he connected but everyone else should just get fines.

Although it's amusing you are making a big deal out of a "dog act" being commited against Blair, given some of the outright grub things he has done over the years, at club and test level.

Mate, I'm just going on what I saw. The Storm or any side would probably have done the same thing, but that's not what happened. The incident will be judged by what's in front of the judiciary not on what another team may have done.

He's gone for sure and I have no issue with fines for the rest.

Karma can be a bitch and in a way he got some back last night.

Well we don't know. But they acted far better than Manly on this occasion.

He did connect, Blair held his head after that, before being layed into by Manly scum while he was on the ground.

Haha can't believe you aren't defending Blair. Guess we have to wait a couple of months for that.
