Tough decision

While Charlie and McKay will always have more xfactor, I think Weitering will be more consistent and one day a future leader

Weitering for me
Agree with Arr0w on this one. Weitering is just having a cracking season in defence and is becoming the rock that will hold our defence together for years. I suspect he'll be more consistent than both Charlie and Harry.
I am with arr0w on this. Weitering's combination of on and off field professionalism, consistency, leadership and maturity will only be surpassed by Walsh.

You build teams around those 2 rocks.
Jacob currently only has two votes

Hmmm... :drunk:

I agree with that and if this poll was mid last year, Charlie would probably be a clear leader

So, by the end of a career, I still see Weitering the clear consistent player, leader, while the other two will have the better moments/highlights

Tried to consider this based on what their careers may bring based on the highlights to date:
X factor - Charlie
Consistency - Weitering
Key forward - McKay

I went with McKay only because elite marking and goal kicking key forwards are harder to find.

To answer the question - Who you got?
We got all three I am just in awe of SOS and the potential he has created

Carn the Blues

NB: I still have a sneaky feeling Cunningham with some injury luck could be just as important and JSOS could still play a role, might not be Best 22 every week but everyone knows you need DEPTH:think:

I hate the tiges but I love mateship. There was a video earlier in the year where Rance and Riewoldt both had milestone games and looked back on the struggles, Premiership and long career they have had together.

Brough the feels and its something I hope our trio can do - grow together as rocks and anchors for a team, hopefully with a premiership (or more) to show for it in time.

Go Blues!

Ive thought of JSOS as a potential Simon White utility, with better foot smarts.

Simon was a journeyman for us and was thankfully very flexible in his ability to play back and forward, flank or key. Never in the "best 22" but rarely in footy will you have the best 22 all healthy, and he played his role serviceably.

If JSOS can bear the pain and angst that playing this role sacrificially demands, he can have a long career with the mighty Blues.

Good view and possibly what it’ll take for JSOS. Flexible role players who are great club men and ready to do whatever is asked are vital glue for strong teams. No team is all stars.

Recency bias.

The tendency for people to remember the most recent instance of a 21yo KPF taking a bazillion contested marks and looking like the 2nd coming of Paul Salmon.

Geez low expectations to compare Jack to Simon white.

I still rate Jack very highly and i think he'll be a very good player for us.
poster may be fearful to critique sos which is a very simon white consequence...........

We're talking about roles, not talent.

No-one said he won't be a very good player, talking about where and how he will be played.

If you don't see him in the gapfiller role, where do you see him instead?

This really is going to go down as the draft that set the club up. Those three talls are outrageously talented. Any club would give their arm and leg for one of them let alone all three.

I think Cuners and JSOS will make it too.

Over the moon to have them all.

They are all ours. That is all that matters.

This^^^

Not only did we only pick one star in the preceding 6 years of drafting (which, by the way, i am convinced was an accident), but we only have that one player on the books from that era of (national) drafting.

Change out the list manager and we then nailed 3 diamonds in the one draft - giddyup!!!

Thank the big man for SOS!

I pity the poor fools who have our previous talent scouts/ list managers on their books.

Bit of recency bias in here... It's still Charlie and that's no slight on the other 2. All will be multiple AAs.
