Interesting to see a lot of players coming out in support of Rudiger after a few journos and twitter insiders went after him.
God the Chelseayouth Twitter account has become awful. So blinded by his agenda it's absurd.

I'm still crushed about Frank tbh. Yes the results weren't amazing but look at OGS and Arteta, they were all given time during periods of worse form than we've been in this season and it appears to have payed off. The stuff behind the scenes made it inevitable I guess but even so, sacked 24 hours after a win is harsh, regardless of the calibre of opponent.

Hopefully Tuchel can get the best out of Havertz and Werner. Not my ideal performance but now that he's in, backing him 100% The game against Wolves will be very interesting

Tuchel is already offside with me. I wasn't a fan when his name was being touted and to be honest, am already unconvinced.

How we dropped Mason Mount is beyond me; clearly the one player that has actually given a damn all year and busts his arse game after game and he doesn't start.

I have no doubt we'll be back here discussing who a new manager will be well before his Tuchel's 18 month tenure expires.

holy shit my dude.

Tuchel:

He said that he largely went with experience because he hasn't had enough time to make those calls yet.

Make what calls?

If he'd watched any of Chelsea's past half dozen games or spoken with anyone inside the club or a bloody Chelsea fan on the street, they'd have told you Mount has been by far the best player at the club this season. Even still, if that is Tuchel's philosophy, then FMD, he's worst than I thought and I've heard quite a few pundits in recent days can the guy and not rate him at all. I'm with them.

Rio Ferdinand said Mount in particular would have been furious having started the last 13 Premier League matches under Lampard.“I’m sure Mason Mount will be seething, same with Reece James and Christian Pulisic - who he brought through at Dortmund,” Ferdinand said on BT Sport.

Mount’s introduction in the closing stages gave Chelsea some momentum and the midfielder teed up Hudson-Odoi to test Rui Patricio. If Lampard could bring himself to watch, he would have had a wry smile as Mount nearly won it in the final moments with a powerful effort turned away by Patricio.

Yeah dunno about using Rio's opinion on it.
The calls on what his settled 11 will be. I doubt Mount will be too fussed, same with the other players, for this first game of his tenure.

Have some optimism man.

I really liked this selection today, we only played on Sunday and upon seeing his selections thought he was smart to rotate the squad due to fatigue. Any player that played the full 90 on Sunday didn't start today, Ziyech was the only one who started both but was subbed off in both!
Mount came off at the 84 min mark on Sunday and came on today at the 83 min mark today. I loved how he managed their minutes.
The one thing that annoyed me about Frank was he'd over play players for game on game after game, personally thought he ran Werner into the ground through a very long run of games at the start of the season. His dip in form would correlate with being fatigued, that form has led to confidence etc etc.

Sunday starting line up and subs;
Arrizabalaga
James
Christensen
Zouma
Emerson
Mount Substituted for Kovacic 84'minutes
Gilmour
Ziyech Substituted for Havertz 77'minutes
Werner
Pulisic Substituted for Hudson-Odoi 70'minutes
Abraham Substituted for Giroud 77'minutes

Wednesday Line up and subs;

Mendy
Azpilicueta
Thiago Silva
Rüdiger
Hudson-Odoi
Jorginho
Kovacic
Chilwell Substituted for Pulisic 76'minutes
Ziyech Substituted for Mount 83'minutes
Havertz
Giroud Substituted Abraham at 77'minutes

We looked a lot sharper and more proactive, always looking to move the ball forward through the middle rather than slow play down the wings leading to a cross on no ones head.

We weren’t clinical but that will hopefully come. I was more impressed at the way we were able to create clear opportunities running into the box against a 10 man wall rather than swinging in endless crosses.

Small sample size but love the way Tuchel seems to be able to adapt to the scenario and play tactics/formations to his opponents. The 2 wing backs shredded them up all game. CHO and Mount down that right side they had no answers for all game. Excited to see how he sets up against a top 6 opponent this week.
