Im clinging to the hope that Nancy killed Daniel and Chris and then it was SHE who took her own life. Its a sad thing to be thinking I know but if what has been suggested is true, Benoit will go from somewhat of a hero figure to a complete loser IMO. Im sure all of us have had fights with loved 1s and hopefully none of us have ever thought of doing what I have suggested here or what many people suspect Chris of doing..... its just so hard to comprehend. People can think what they like but as has been mentioned, innocent until proven guilty, for now this should be a remembrance thread with only good things to say.

As a wrestler I will always respect his work in the ring, as that was all we ever really saw of him and no one really saw the private side of him apparently even the people he was close to barely saw it.

His matches in WCW against Booker T in 1998 were fantastic, and then there is his work against other guys in WCW. Even when wrestled Meng he made the match look good.

I enjoyed when he was in a match with Raven where he had the Crossface on and Raven would not submit.

i reckon that wat happened was she called him and said to get back home now. (the reason for him leaving the PPV)
and when he got there it is very possible that his boy was dead and then he lost control and killed her.
then goin on to take his own life.

i know anythin could be the case but thats how i think it happened..

Produce the evidence, all that has been reported is that the police have found 3 bodies, there has been nothing else said, there hasn't even been word on how they died yet. As they haven't released the info of the autopsy. If it was clean cut that Benoit did it, then it would have been case closed.

At the moment no one can say who did what, and you are just assuming, so until he has been proven to have done said act, then you cannot say it's "clear"

Hering, in turn, spoke with Fayette County sheriffs Monday, and requested that they respond to the Benoit residence to check on him and his family.

Authorities representing the Sheriff’s Department initially had a difficult time entering Benoit’s new Fayetteville home Monday afternoon, which had been guarded by two large German Shepherds roaming freely around the property. Once authorities entered the residence, they quickly located the bodies of Benoit, Nancy and Daniel. WWE was notified of the discovery at approximately 4 p.m.

At 10 p.m. Monday night, Lt. Pope held a press conference in conjunction with Scott Ballard, the district attorney for Fayette County. The press conference officially ruled authorities’ findings as a double murder-suicide from within the home.

WAGA, a FOX-owned and operated television station in Atlanta, reported that investigators believe Benoit killed his wife and 7-year-old son over the weekend, then himself on Monday.

The three bodies have been received by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s crime lab, in Decatur, Ga., where autopsies will be performed Tuesday morning. Toxicology reports will not become available for at least two weeks.

WWE.com has further information relating to both the investigation and the cause of death, but the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department has requested that WWE.com not release any additional details at this time.

THATS THE THING! NO one at all can explain... No one knows yet (unless it was committed (contrary to reports) by an outsider)...and no one WILL know, until all the Post Mortem Tests come through.

There are many reasons, they have been well documented in this thread, read through it. You will find many explanations, and there can be so many more there has not been a cause of death announced yet so we can only speculate and this thread already has enough of that.

I cannot confirm not deny anyone's involvement, and neither can you, you can assume who did it but until there is a cause of death there is nothing more that can be said on that.

Also there is no time of death so they could have died at any stage over the weekend, and he could have come home to them being dead.

The cops aren't pursuing anybody outside of the house so that rules out somebody else killing them

THat leaves 3 possibilities (2 OF Which seem like reasonable possibilities)

(given "Bizarre Circumstances" as much as its a dreadful thought, i can't help but to think Daniel is associated with these "Bizarre Circumstances" (WHATEVER THEY MAY BE)

So why are you assuming that it was just Benoit that did it? Wasn't his wife also in the house? You mean that Benoit was the only one that was capable? I am not saying he is innocent nor am I going to point the finger but there is no proof that he was the one that did it.

There could have ben a gas leak in the house and Benoit could have found them dead, and then killed himself. You see? I can make up reasons myself, do I have proof? No. So why try and pin it on anyone without all the facts?

A very powerful read that and sums up the thoughts of a lot of people.

I for one am still in the say it isn't so camp, but as more and more details come to hand i feel myself shifting towards "Why Chris? Why?" more and more

I hope to god that a man that a lof of us idolised and greatly respected is not capable of such actions, but with the information coming out it gets harder and harder to maintain that pristine image of the man they called the 'Rabid Wolverine'

I am guessing that message could be the key in this as could whatever reason it was for him to go home.

Anything with Daniel I could think of is if he managed to damage the gas pipe or damaged something with the gas and it leaked out and they were gassed. After reading about a gas leak as a reason I was thinking maybe something happened there.

Other then that I have no idea.

Whatever happened and whoever is to blame we need to understand and have the ability to separate the wrestler from the private person and whatever ailed him in his private life

Chris Benoit gave me a lot of pleasure and excitement in his career, his private life gave me nothing so I will remember and celebrate his career.

I am still in shock of all this. No one expects something like this to happen, but when it does finally happen it rips your heart out.

I will always remember Chris Benoit as a true legend in the ring. He could wrestle the most intense match for 45 minutes and still somehow find a way to make it look easy. His intensity in the ring hasn't been matched and I don't think it will anytime soon.

The only part I don't get is that he murdered his wife and youngest son. On RAW everyone talked about how much of a nice guy he was and how much he loved his family. Something personal must have really been eating at him for some time. He sent out a text message to some WWE wrestlers and was thanking them and saying his goodbye.

More than anything, I am more shocked at how this took a sudden turn for the worse.

Until now he really has never had much issue and wasn't really in the wrestling news that much only time has been when he was thinking of going to Japan to work. That and him walking out on WCW other then that there was not much to do with him in the news.

I'd assume that he was a private person as it has been said and probably never spoke much about himself.

Its a longshot...but "Bizarre Circumstances" were mentioned...and that my friend, is a Bizarre Circumstance.

I read somewhere that "Ample Steroids" were found... (once again, only speculation) i can't remember the source, and for that i apoligise....

But Say Daniel took them... Died, The mother couldn't take it.. Took some...
Chris came home, couldn't handle it...

Or... Daniel put some in a drink of his mothers (Maybe capsules, disolved and went "Fuzzy" (things that could amuse a 7yo)

Just another couple to add to the ENDLESS possibilities..

(i am by no means saying this is what happened, just highlighting that there are MANY more possibilities than some people are PRESUMING)

All I know is that 3 are dead and one is a young life cut down before he was able to get into his prime. The way you have said it does sound bizarre enough, and there was mention that the details are going to sound bizarre.

If it was a standard murder-suicide then there is no doubt there would have been more said, but there's so many things that it could be.

I'm not going to throw a stone at anyone until someone is to blame.

And how do you attempt to reconcile that view with the phone call saying he was going to miss Vengeance because of his wife and/or child being sick throwing up blood, his not reporting the incident to police or calling emergency services and the police saying they are working under the assumption that it is a double murder-suicide?

Its true, nothing has been confirmed yet but look at the track record in wrestling. This is shocking but it seems to be part of the violent aspect that goes along with being on the road year round, putting your body under immense pressure physically and mentally, portraying a "character" year round which often gets confused with the person portraying them, a large drug culture to deal with these stresses (prescription, illicit and legal) which often further blurs the line between reality and fiction, and an even larger drug culture to get their bodies to that state in the first place whose major side effects are well known to include aggression.

From this column, a few things are claimed to be fact in this case:

"-The start of the Benoit debacle came on Saturday. Contrary to my original understanding, Benoit didn't start the house show swing this weekend and get called away.... rather, he never left Atlanta, and called the company on Saturday, claiming a "family emergency."

As late as Sunday afternoon, he had led WWE management to believe he would be in Houston for the Vengeance PPV, where Benoit was scheduled to win the ECW Title. When Benoit did not show, and did not call to explain himself, WWE instituted Plan B (Johnny Nitro faced CM Punk, instead, and Nitro won the ECW belt). Also: it was at this point that friends, co-workers, and employers got genuinely concerned about Benoit and his family.

And I do mean GENUINELY concerned. Depending on how tightly certain people guard Chris' privacy, you should not be surprised to hear stories about how Benoit's troubles at home were not exactly a well-kept secret over the past few weeks, to the point that co-workers were worried. Even I did a brief (but not necessarily overly-concerned) double-take when it was announced Benoit was a no-show for Sunday's PPV because of the vague and mysterious whispers that had only started to seep out to third-hand chumps like me and had yet to take on any discernable shape.

After Vengeance concluded, and Benoit was still unaccounted-for, calls were made, and the Atlanta PD (or appropriate suburban authority) eventually made a "welfare call" on the Benoit household on Monday afternoon.

It was at this time (between 2:30 and 3pm eastern time) that Benoit, his wife Nancy, and son Daniel were all found dead"
