Do you genuinely believe with them both starting at the same time (2014) that Davies with his masters would have been better suited to running the footy department of an AFL club than Tredrea?

Absolutely (to answer for him).
By 2014, Davies had several years running the SANFL football chief, and 4 years as CEO of the Eagles in the SANFL.

Thats a different question though as to who would have a more in depth footy knowledge, as that would be Warren, but footy knowledge doesnt help you negotiate a trade or deal with player agents on contracts, or help you structure your TPP.... and it scares me a bit to think that thats can just be picked up by someone because they were a great player.

It's almost as preposterous as a failed state level cricketer being a football operations manager.
If that was all he'd been maybe but you're missing the years he's worked for other organisations as a Sports Administrator. Let's not be stupid about this. Actually have a look at why people get put into the roles they do. It's not just the years of work experience but the study and then the EXTRA study of doing a masters. There's a reason other clubs have been trying to poach Chris Davies.

For all the good he may have done he has destroyed that by attaching himself to a failed coach for a decade and 'backing him in' when it has been obvious he was no good.

"any suggestion that our squad hasn't achieved something this year is entirely wrong"

Sad day
Herein lies the problem. They are all happy to just be there.

Get this loser out of our club right now.

What a pathetic statement.

Interesting when Josh Money asked CD about how Port will improve from being 18th in the AFL for goal kicking conversion.

CD replies that other clubs get into our backline easily and score easy goals which inflate their numbers, while our forward line is packed and it's very hard to kick goals.

lol unintentional admission that Hinkley’s game plan is inefficient and doesn’t hold up in finals

Any danger a journo at these Pressers asking the obvious follow up question??

Hinkley is very much gone based on that interview. Chris the same. If go you to the part about the succession plan, that is very obvious. About the 15 min mark from memory.
