Hinkley is very much gone based on that interview. Chris the same. If go you to the part about the succession plan, that is very obvious. About the 15 min mark from memory.
I didn't get the same read on that part regarding Hinkley. However, I agree that it is unlikely that Davies will be at Port next year with how he answered that question.

Interesting when Josh Money asked CD about how Port will improve from being 18th in the AFL for goal kicking conversion.

CD replies that other clubs get into our backline easily and score easy goals which inflate their numbers, while our forward line is packed and it's very hard to kick goals.

Lol basically hinkley ball is trash

No doubt he is on his way out. I hope we have a gun replacement lined up.

Wouldn't surprise me if we go down the internal route and give Jason Cripps the role...

Haha wow he literally says 'when the time comes that hinkley doesn't want to coach anymore, i guess we'll have to find someone else'

what is happening
Perhaps the campaigner doesn't want to coach anymore? I highly doubt it though :-(

You seriously can't make up the shit that comes out of the talking heads at Alberton!

or is he towing the company spin in that when hinkers goes it's his own decision despite in reality he's got the arse?

hopes and prayers 🙏

At 19.30 Norts says "last couple guys."

CD responds with - "I'm happy to stay. This is the last time these people get me.""

Says it all I reckon.

I read it in a similar way to that, based on the way he dodged the question about Collingwood's interest in him and about Ken's future.

I'm not sure if this was CD's intended comments but at least someone from the club has suggested that the gameplan is shit and not blaming the failures on luck or anomalies.

Yeah, it’s my reading too. He’s trying to establish the message of “no one is bigger than the club”, everyone has ann expiry date etc. It’s a few years late, no doubt, but that’s the story/legacy he is trying to shape as he and Hinkley step down IMO- selfless types will hand the baton to the next generation and so on.

I genuinely don’t care what story they spin as long as we get the circuit breaker FWIW.

**** me. How's the mediocrity speak.

Basically, internally we're celebrating what a successful year it has been. He doesn't want the players to go away down and not thinking about how successful they've been this year. ---- Said on 5AA as well today

I mean what the actual ****.

Celebrate failure, and you breed an acceptance of it.

**** I'm sick of the piss poor attitude to winning.

It's not always about winning, it's not always about premierships every year. But how you perform against expectations. This year we finished 2nd, we marched home, then we flopped beyond belief in the finals series. Don't try and call that a form of success, it was a HUGE underperformance. We had a good minor round, yes, but the opportunity blown AGAIN was done so in such a poor way it wipes away any credit to that minor round performance.

Conflict of interest in Chris Davies supposedly 'trying' to convince Harry Perryman to elect port as his destination over the favourites which are collingwood, when CD is the one who is potentially going to move to Collingwood.

Lol the club condones and promotes conflicts of interest and nepotism, so its really not that surprising. Zero integrity in this club.
