Chris Scotts coaching

Credit to Scott. Without Hawkins and Duncan he didn't have the better side, but managed to disrupt our game for a half. Don't understand how anyone could think he's not a good coach.
Blicavs playing on the wing and having 10 touches whilst Lynch has 20 and kicks 5
One of the premier mids in the comp resting in the forward line whilst the kids are getting smashed.
Stewart sitting the first 6 minutes of Q3 on the pine in which time Richmond scores 2.1 to 0.0 and took over the ascendancy.
In the first half Geelong slowed the game down and hit players in space which troubled you guys, then for some reason in the second half the style changed and tried to play on more and take risks through the middle which never works against Richmond. Chris Scott has to accept some of the blame for last night

If you mean Blicavs he is not an All-Australian. Has not been selected. He's as much an All-Australian as he is an Olympian.
Well All Australian squad member then. Feel better now ?

Ok all Australian squad member chosen by a panel of experts whether you agree with his choice or not. My point stands.

Yeah you can point to certain things and say he got it wrong, but if the second half played out the same as the first, he's a genius. Maybe he could've reacted differently when the tide turned, but most games are won in the planning stage rather than by positional or tactical changes during the game.

Richmond had to change tack and block up the space, which in turn forced Geelong to change. Even then, Ablett/Selwood/Taylor of two years ago don't allow it to slip.

Only the 29th time Richmond has won from 21+ down at half time, from 444 games.

coming in on the back of Thommo's hard work and not really earning the first one

Sure, he didn't build that team, but they've been contenders virtually year in, year out for longer than any other club.

Players who've been and gone in Scott's time:

B: Enright Scarlett Milburn
HB: Mackie Lonergan Kelly
C: Motlop Bartel Wojcinski
HF: Johnson Mooney Varcoe
F: Chapman Podsiadly Caddy
R: Ottens Ling Corey

+ Menzel Vardy Stokes Christensen Hunt Byrnes Rivers Clark

At half time they had one foot in the GF with a whole new team.

Reckon Hardwick was genuine with his praise for the club yesterday.

Read a long list of failed coaching moves by Scott in finals.

He added another last night.

Is he trying too hard?

Recall reading top coaches (Roos) saying come game day making left field moves might win you a game here and there but it isnt sustainable. You need to build a brand, a style and a game plan. Get players to buy in and execute.

The way Scott acts all fired up and tough on game day is another area . Coaches who carry on and need to put rockets up players butts hasnt build the right mental fortitude in the group. Old style coaching......thats what I grew up with 30 years ago.

I love Chris Scott, sign him up for another 10 years. And while you're at it sign up Ken Hinkley at Port for another 5.

You guys can sack Goodwin and get Neeld back, we’ll sack Bevo and get McCartney too.

I think Chris Scott is the best coach in the AFL. Would you agree or disagree?
