I loved Yaz, but it he ain't interested. Somethings up. Need open honest discussion with the club about his future. Good time for the new direction the club is supposedly heading in, to evaluate what is best for him and CFC. If he wants out, let's get the best for CFC and work with him to facilitate a move.
I don't want him to go, but if the marriage ain't working, MA & PA, don't stay together just for us kids.
Love u Yaz, but I love CFC more.

I wanted us to at least hold him to the end of next year and hope for first round compo.
But what his dishing up is not acceptable. What happened to his beautiful kicking inside50.

Be very tempted if we could get a good trade for him, another first rounder would be almost to good to pass up.
Would love to use that pick on someone like Ryan Burton, who shaping up as this years Jake Lever but plays as a forward.

It's a real shame if he's got personal issues or partying is taking a priority. We saw a similar downward spiral for Garlett last year...is it a lack of support from the club or the personality of the player that gets suckered in to the wrong lifestyle?

Just an easy cop out when playing in a losing team, every player needs to work harder and now is the time that real discipline and professionalism is required.

But what happens with players who are mentally fragille and have poor discipline, work ethic etc is they start to blame everything and everyone else to justify their behaviour or drop in standards.

Then they force the clubs hand to make a decision on this behaviour, react to it poorly and walk to another team for a fresh start and eventually turn things around somewhat.

Some call this a fresh start or a significant turn around, I tend to call it "piss weak" attitude, behaviour and professionalism.

I dont have much of an idea about the extent that clubs would do psychological profiling on prospective draftees, but i imagine that recruiters have probably focused on that part of their selection process more over time. What i hope SOS will bring to the club is the ability to identify mentally strong players with an innate competitive streak. When you compare the GWS list to GC it is easy to see that football talent is probably similar, but i see more leaders and competitive animals on the GWS list. Carlton needs more of this and Yarran is one example of super talent without the will to win every contest or so everything possible to get the best out of himself. Can you imagine Yazz hiring a coach in the off-season to improve on a deficiency? He is now a senior player on our list, but not performing like one. Cherish every chance Yazz, Kreuze does.

What do we think we could get for him? Would either WA side cough up their first (pick 13-18) for him in a week draft?

We might be better off holding onto him for a year and getting a second round compo pick (20-25) for him in a stronger draft.

Will not take a hit for his team.
Is a great user of the ball sometimes
Is ok defensively (if he feels like it)
As much as I'd love to get something worthwhile in a trade for him, I just can't see it happening.

Couldn't imagine a team moving heaven and earth to securing Chris Yarran, especially after the last few weeks. His pin point accuracy is non-existent, refuses to go in hard, doesn't chase and has this very "I don't give a rats arse" look about him at the moment. If we could get a top 10 draft pick for him I would jump at that opportunity.

Probably get crucified for suggesting this but what do you guys think about a straight swap for Carslile?

Not going to crucify you and despite all of Yarran's failings we dont trade any sort of talent to * Essendon in my opinion, **** them, would rather lose him for nothing to another club !!

Annoying thing is he'd probably get to another team and dominate.

We know what he's capable of, but he sure ain't bringing it. Very disappointed because he could be the difference in us winning games, but ATM he's practically a liability.

The biggest fear from the fans and the footy club is that Yarran will go on to do great things, which I think he will but not at the Carlton Football Club. This is why I think the club will do everything in their power to keep him, but I think it would be best for both parties if we part ways. Carlton just need to, if we get a draft pick in exchange for yarran, just nail it!

There is no fear, won't happen at another club either.
If it hasn't happened now it's not going to. Has the tools but not the attitude to become an A grade player.
Should be on the trade table at years end.
Unfortunate but true.
