I just can't see how any trade gets done. There's a bit of buyer beware with him, he's on a million a year and is at the wrong end of 20. On top of that, Melbourne would be wanting two firsts, which I dont know who has that from a big Vic club.

Not necessarily. If he stays it may create an environment where his presence just might tear the place apart.Happy to sit back and wait for the offers to come in.
If he stays we keep our best player so win-win
Nearly dies, forced to play alongside drug addict/s, why would he want to play for such a terrible club? Potentially better off retired than returning.

You are absoultely correct but if he wants out that badly, surely they would be better off without him and getting something for him.No they don’t. They just keep there best player if there’s no offer good enough.
If other clubs are concerned then don’t make an offer. Simple.
Hard to see him staying. But there has been precedent for players requesting a trade and staying - and end up happy.
Still - Trac and Cripps in the middle would be like using cheat codes.
Moore nearly killed him. Not sure he will want to be play with the guy with the smoking gun.
"Tell him he's dreamin"I've seen TDK's name mentioned a couple of times. If he and Carlton were happy to part ways, I'd imagine he'd look at coming to Geelong instead of Melbourne. We'd have some sort of spot open for him (Stanley almost certainly retiring and Conway battling injuries).
I wonder if something like:
Carlton give TDK (Geelong) and first rounder (Melbourne)
Cats give first rounder (Melbourne)
Dees give Petracca (Carlton)
could be worked out?

I mean, throw some other picks or players around, but as a very broad arrangement I don't think it's too bad.tdk is worth a whole lot more than geelongs first rounder
Whats TDK really worth in your eyes given what players have been going for and I do agree worth more than our 1st but may be a future 2nd/3rd round addedtdk is worth a whole lot more than geelongs first rounder
Post-season event is tomorrow.
Uncontracted yes. A contracted tdk id be expecting atleast 2 firsts especially if its GeelongWhats TDK really worth in your eyes given what players have been going for and I do agree worth more than our 1st but no may be a future 2nd/3rd round
You wouldn't be able to pull the "He's Contracted" card if you were actively booting him out the door to leverage the Petracca trade, though....Uncontracted yes. A contracted tdk id be expecting atleast 2 firsts especially if its Geelong
I don't get anyone talking down his value really. The dude's 28 and an absolute jet. Did his performance drop out for the team implode around him? Performances after he got injured suggest the latterI just can't see how any trade gets done. There's a bit of buyer beware with him, he's on a million a year and is at the wrong end of 20. Not a big fan of some of the media pile on. Things and people can change, big life events can often brings these on.
Like it would be insane if you didn't absolutely re think everything after being in critical condition with your loved ones scared for your life.
I know I would and yet the media are throwing words like selfish. Please, give it a rest.
He's pretty extraordinary the old Pert. He saw premierships at both Collingwood and Melbourne but soiled the club the years after that both flags are easily forgotten in the midst of what was going on. Should be shown the door ASAPI posted this on the Pies board years ago.
I was told by multiple people that Gary Pert was the biggest problem at Collingwood,
Eddie was the only person he got along with.
He created problems and relationship breakdowns and was never wrong, always blaming someone else.
Once the club got rid of him (he was given the option leave or be sacked) the club improved dramatically on and off the field.
He was described as a cancer in an internal review that was done from an outside company.
I'm absolutely amazed he is still at Melbourne, I'm amazed he has any role in the AFL.
