I don't think we'll see him back before Rd 1 next year if it's GB. Not being alarmist but the recovery takes six months to a year.

:(

What's Leigh Matthews doing for the rest of the year?

You seem to know all about it...so what is the answers to cure it ?
You cant cure it. It can only be stopped. Even after the treatment to stop it I was still getting worse. You get an infusion for 5 days and it wasnt until maybe 3 days later that the symptoms stopped getting worse. Then it just seems to take forever before you see any improvement.

There is no cure. There is no treatment for the symptoms.
Doc, are you a real doctor? I am. Just to clarify: GBS is serious, as someone posted. There are two treatments, one of which is an infusion which you would have had. It works best if given early, and you correctly observed that it stops you getting worse rather than cures you. Some patients end up on mechanical ventilation, others don't. If Clarko has a severe form he won't be back this year. Hopefully he has a milder form.

I wish him all the best.

DOC has GBS - it was why he commented in the first place and was just responding to posters in relation to a 'cure'

Thanks, RCB.
That sounds a pretty terrible future for a super-active person like Clarko.

Do sufferers get back to a normal life?
