The season ended without as much complexity as last season but still great.

Hope the Johnny and Daniel rivalry isn’t gone forever, the best moments are still when they are being petty toward each other.

Thought the pony tail guy in Vietnam was Terry Silver, then he got killed and I assumed they were just playing a trick on us and wouldn’t introduce that plot point this season. Guess not.

I thought the dude he saved was Silver?

Yeah I think the death of his girlfriend/sweetheart whilst he was off fighting and being tortured in Vietnam, must have really messed up with Kreese's head (who clearly had suffered PTSD by this point)

I am not sure how many more seasons they can run with the series though, thinking one or two tops. I really do not want Cobra Kai overstay it's welcome like Game of Thrones did. And they have probably gotten the most out of the Miyagi and Daniel relationship off screen.
Game of thrones didnt overstay its welcome. The opposite in fact. it needed to go for 4 seasons longer than it did to tell the story properly and instead they rushed what should of been 6 seasons into the final two. It was terrible.

in saying that i agree its hard to see this story having more than 1-2 seasons to go. It actually seems like it should only have another 4-5 episodes left.

This happens literally a few seconds after your spoiler

Somehow I actually missed it too, until I read that the captain said that when reading online earlier.

The whole hawk turn was completely predictable.

as with robbie.

the trailer gave away most of the plot points.

it seems like ally is just in this for a single episode. No recurring role going foward.
The way she stressed she'll always be there for Johnny makes me think she might be back.

Ironically Johnny is entering season 4 with the most momentum and stability of the series, the other two seasons ended with him somehow in a worse position.

It hit me like a ton of bricks. It didn’t throughout the episode but then after the phone call I remember back to their backstory.

I guess it wasn’t just a lie.

Can you believe that Thomas Griffith, who played antagonist Terry Silver, is actually younger than Ralph Macchio.

Another mind-blown moment was reading that Betsy’s arseh*le boyfriend was played by Martin Kove’s son, Jesse.

That was another curve ball they threw us this year. Assuming that was young Kreese.

Even more meta than that, Jesse Kove got his arse kicked by young Kreese. :p

Cobra Kai just keeps delivering.

It would be great if they can get Thomas Ian Griffith into season 4, and have flashbacks to where they open up the first Cobra kai dojo. With the Okinawa storyline exhausted, there's not really much more development for Daniel, and no point in bringing back his love interest (Jessica) from that movie. It'll be interesting to see if they develop Kreese's backstory post Vietnam - maybe looking into the mental health issues of his mother etc to possibly garner sympathy from the audience before his eventual demise. Picturing a deathbed moment where he and Johnny make peace.

Would love to see Thomas Ian Griffith. I know he has retired from acting, last thing he was in was in 2007. But now he has gone into screen writing (wrote 13 episodes of Grimm), so perhaps because he is closey associated with TV, maybe he would be up for acting again.

The show has a great record if bringing back old cast members so far. I would be shocked if they would hint at the return of Terry Silver if they weren't already working on it.

I think they can introduce back Terry Silver and Mike Barnes “back” into the series but after that storyline is done they should find a way to wrap the series for good.

In series 2 didn’t Kreese tell Johnny that an old war buddy offered him a job but he turned it down? Could that have been Silver?

If it’s as simple as making a phone call and Silver comes running, I wonder where Silver has been the last 10 years while Kreese has been living in a shelter? Wouldn’t the billionaire help him out???

Must be some story in there....
