First off I had my son with me today so I couldn't exactly pay attention to everyone so what I did do was pay attention to those who the majority here would want to hear about.

Derickx - just like last game seems a mile off it. Gives away stupid free kicks in the ruck and has little or no impact around the ground. At this stage the only way he'll play AFL is if the other rucks are injured. Got injured before half time and didn't seem him in the second half
Gourdis - Does the defensive stuff really well i.e. spoils closes down leads but his disposal at times(see under pressure) is shocking, even when he has time and space to sum up whats going on.

Thanks for the report RT

I am confused...the official report lists Goo as in the best (first best listed) yet you rated him good but very bad...

Who am I to believe or were you specifically looking for deficiencies in Goos game?
Doesn't matter I guess -Goo won't be getting a game in the seniors this season until trade time

Here is a riddle RT, MaGuane is in doubt, Batchelor has gone to Sydney to cover for him, if LMG comes out that leaves Rance and Astbury to cover, Goodes and Reid, no plan B and no one to cover Seaby or Everitt
Gourdis in the best again in another demolishing, can play tall and mid.
As Ive said before you gotta wonder

I'm disgusted with this performance, it's a blight on the RFC and someone ought to be sacked tomorrow in the post mortem...1 goal to half time playing a ragtag bunch of misfits that have no AFL alignment....unbelievable:mad:

Agree.. Absolute BS
What the frig is going on?

Either lots of kids have their confidence shot or they have realised they are not in the Dimmas group of chosen ones...

As I said he does the defensive side of things really well. Only got out marked once today from memory and that wasn't really his fault as Gus should have killed the ball coming in from the side but missed. The thing is when he has the ball he just seems to act first think second. Gave off a handball in the back pocket back into the corridor that was supposed to go to Rayson but missed result was Port kicked an easy goal. Another turnover a few minutes later was when he missed a simple target 15m away under slight pressure(not enough to effect most players) 15 secs later another goal. Third quarter he gathered at half back took off got through some traffic and then proceeded to kick a mongrel straight to a Port player 15m in the clear.

I wasn't looking for deficiencies in his game or anyone elses game today, just reporting everything I saw unlike the Coburg report you read on the RFC site which seems to just give the players some sort of pat on the back regardless of how they perform.

Port may not have an AFL alignment but they are far from a ragtag bunch of misfits. They are undefeated from memory, well drilled, move the ball well and play simple but effective team first footy. Wouldn't have mattered if we were a stand alone side today with a full side to pick from we simply would have lost by 10 goals rather than 16 goals.

Thanks RT, great summation goo and his disposal shouldnt be an issue ,i mean we have selected the worst kick in the league in Hislop........so we can return to our old tried and tested habits of poor disposal.
Gourdis is at least getting disposals, Astbury is struggling to find the ball at all, and anyone travelling at 30 mph is going to have the odd clanger

Miller spent 5 odd years playing CHB for the Dees if need be he can be shifted back.

Everitt isnt playing.

And Seaby is a hack who is no better than a raw young Browne.

Just common sense RH, maybe the problem is Hardwick is just a novice himself, take away all the media bullshot and we haven't really seen anything clever or outside the square from him, all we have really seen is our top 5 players having blinders that has given us a few wins

Its the clangers you make standing still that hurt the most.

Fair Enough RT
Can I ask you, based on what you saw today has Goo got a future;
A) in the AFL; or
B) with the tigers?
Don't see why not. Needs to work on his disposal/decision making though.

Holy shot RT cant wait to see that, even Hardwick acknowledges, when the ball hits the ground, Millsy may as well take a nap, such are his ground skills

Goodes proberbly Bazz, so maybe Astbury get Seaby, but god that leaves us very thin in the marking contests

Seaby will get around 85% tog and that will be all in the ruck. And gotta remember the Swans arnt a great side up forward, we average 3 goals more than they do per game, and their conversion when inside 50 is poor, they rank 16th and we rank 2nd only behind Collingwood, so its the Swans who should be more concerned about stopping our multi pronged attack.

Dimma knows what he is doing.

The Richmond listed players currently not playing are either outside mids, Webberly , Nason , talls or young blokes who aren't yet ready .
Morton , Connors and even Taylor available would make a huge difference, in saying that the attraction of school teachers in coaching positions is beyond obsessive these days and unwarranted !

Well you could argue that not having an AFL alignment helps for providing a stable and balanced team, and well, a decent VFL player who knows how to play his part in the game may well be better than that of an AFL player that is lacking form, lacking confidence, learning a new position, carrying an injury etc etc.

Bring back Andy Collins (the coach) No point pouring money into recruitment if the development is garbage. Coburg have been putrid this year. We have a lack of depth due to the clean out of the last few seasons but this is becoming ridiculous. We need a coach who can squeeze out the talent of our bottom end.
