I’d imagine that a 17 year olds acl surgery wouldn’t have the priority that a professional athletes would.

Yeah. But an extra 6 weeks seems quite the gap. Surely the club would be able to do a little priority work

Unless there was a fourth player we were interested in as a cat B there wouldn’t be any logical reason to shift Parker to cat A before his full 3 years are up. Do that and the club is just needlessly robbing itself of an extra list spot.

Is it 2 or 3 Cat B spots?

Your logic is correct and I was thinking it was 2 and we’d move Parker to make room for Condon and Kerr.

It’s 2, used to be 3 before the covid cuts
Condon doesn’t even have to be listed until he finishes college so when or if he doesn’t get into nba
By that point we would have a spot free.

Does he have school exams between now and then that he and parents may be prioritising?

He goes to st kevins. There could be mid year exams possibly?
I've asked him whether there was other damage apart from the acl which is the reason why the delay.

Are you sure about that? It’s listed as 3 spots currently on the AFL site:

McGuane also played his first coates league game at 16 late last year, and he's thriving.
Oscar is 16 as well, doesn't turn 17 until nov, so I'd no doubt he'll be better for this exposure and will thrive next year too.
