#11 Thomas McGuane
Midfielder | 177cm | 27/08/2007
Stats: 24 disposals, 3 marks, 5 inside 50s

Another prolific performance from McGuane sees his season disposal average sit just above 25. The 2025 Collingwood father-son prospect was sharp all day, darting his way through the corridor and showcasing terrific vision to make use of his foot skills. He hit kicks at obscure angles, albeit if he tried to be a little too cute at times and favoured his left side.

Oh boy, he's sounding more like Nick every game.

at first I thought it was the usual FS hype, but his numbers suggest he’ll be a top 10 pick if he keeps this up

he's been tracking upwards for a few years. he's playing on the wing now because he's light but he's just as good or better inside so hope he grows a little more.

Anyone know how old the Rocca boys are and are they playing footy and likely to be good enough to be selected as FS's?
13yrs. Looks like Max, Anthony's son is in the YJFL interleague squad for U14, but in division 3.. which probably isn't great, so he'll need to improve next couple years if he is to be any good.
But plenty of time to go.

I am assuming the Gayfer that’s running around in the 16’s playing quite well isn’t Mick’s son?
Honestly he could even be the son of Will Gayfer, who was Mick's much younger brother who was a draft prospect back in 2003. An under 16 these days was born in 2009.

Mick Gayfer was one of 8 kids, so there's pretty long odds that he's specifically Mick's son, especially when you consider that Mick was 44 years old when he was born.

Max Rocca - Anthony’s son kicked 5 in division 3 U14 for the interleague

I loved Lonie back in the day.

Whenever he kicked one of those raking goals as a genuine half back flanker it lifted the team as he ran back to his position and high fived teammates along the way.

Ryan Lonie would of gone a lot better in today's game then the era he played in due to the physical changes to the game.
Game was more physical back then and half the stuff is illegal now (sadly).

Statements like this make me chuckle. What makes the AFL in the mid 2000s more "physical" than now?
