Do we think the Pies draft Doug Kerr this year? Would be a late pick I assume?

Apologies if this has already been mentioned.
No. He was barely draftable before he did his knee, he won’t get drafted this year.

Probably did his knee at the wrong time. But he'll be under the eye of the pies staff and recruiters as he enters our vfl system in the pre-season as he recovers from his knee. We can either select him mid season or he'll still be eligible for us next year.
Our list spot shortage probably means we won't pick up any NGA this year.
He should start running next week. He'll reach the 3 month mark post surgery

Oakleigh was defeated at the death in the prelim

McCarthy had 9 disposals, 3 marks, 2 tackles, 2 rebound 50's
Quaynor had 10 disposals, 5 marks, 4 rebound 50's

I watched young Tommy down play for Keilor today. They seemed to be protecting him a bit, he spent the first 10 mins of each quarter on the bench, then they would play him forward with a bit of mid time.
He did well, got involved a bit, nice kicking and got the ball out of situations.

Did Keilor progress to Grand Final ?

Yes. It was even until half time then went bang in the third quarter and ended up winning easily by about 8-9 goals.

McGuane did a few nice things in close but didn’t do much overall. Seemed to play limited minutes.

Mick would be in a tough position too. This team is likely to win the flag. A lot of good fringe players trying to get in, and you all know how heated the politics can get at footy clubs. And the top 15 players are used to playing 90%+ game time. On the other hand the sentimental value of a junior destined to play AFL and Mick has the legacey of a potential 5th flag as coach. He has so much love from the community. The managed minutes for Tom is a great compromise. Tom gets exposure in a league considered not too far of VFL level in finals.

From observers on other forums but it was pre covid lock downs so along way from AFL relevant. Just that they looked promising at that age.

Doesn't matter now as they both have dropped out big time by the looks. Sadly.
Let's not use Covid as an excuse, the Buckley boys weren't very good at football and no longer play, end it at that.

yeah looked quite limited. Spent the first 10 mins of every quarter on the bench, then was played forward and a bit of mid. They seemed to be protecting him a bit.

Saw VFL listed Harry Kennedy out there, was on boundary with those on the interchange. I had a chat to him, said he should be back next year. His foot is healing.
