I hear people describe themselves as “I’m a mad Collingwood supporter”. Or simply “I’m a Collingwood supporter” with a knowing look (the “mad” bit is rhetorical) That doesn’t seem to be as prevalent for supporters of other clubs.

Apparently AFLW players approached the club to express their concern and disgust over Jordan's playful moment. I hope the same players marched into the club demanding they make a stand over their captain's inappropriate action. Why was their total silence from our club and most of the media when a photo of any male player doing something similar would be front page news and lead to another thirty editorials and use of the word toxic and males in every third sentence along with a heart wrenching mea culpa from the player and club.

I think we all know why nothing will be made of it. It’s the same reason none of us are allowed to remember that Laidley was charged with aggravated stalking and was hanging out outside the ex’s window sending thousands of creepy texts.

Kane Cornes stirred up a shitstorm when he said it bad idea for the club to allow JDG to go to Bali. A split was created between the Cornes led puritans, and freedom loving types who think Clubs should butt out of players’ free time. Nek minit JDG delivers.

And that was barely a few months after Kane Cornes was forced to eat humble pie over Jack “who does he think he is?” Ginnivan when Jack kicked 5 and won the ANZAC day medal.

Media outlets only need to be honest and factual. I don't care if they end the careers of crimianls or liars.

You may think that the independent media attack people you admire, but they use facts and evidence to do so.
