On a different note, a great Collingwood supporter in Fr Bob Maguire died today aged 88.
The catholic church might have a better reputation if they had more Maguires and fewer Ridsdales.
Father Bob was a tireless champion of the people who needed his help the most.

Back when the report was leaked, not very many saw it that way. Ed being forced to stand down over “Proud day for our footy club …” is evidence of that. Ed got way way ahead of himself.

I agreed with the sentiment of Ed’s comments, the delivery just lacked polish. I think as a club and as supporters we should have been proud that the club had drawn a line in the sand and begun the process to get ahead of racism. No other club has so publicly opened themselves up to ridicule and you can bet your balls there isn’t a club devoid of elements of racism in their history.

He just ****ed up on the framing of it. All he needed to do was go a bit harder.

“Proud day for the club because it takes courage to shine a light on the mistakes of the past”.

“Proud day for the club because today is a landmark, as the first day of committing towards being a completely inclusive and welcoming club for people of all races, religions, cultures etc. etc.”

He didn’t follow through which made it look like a gaffe. He was like Bill Gates shuffling from one foot to the other and giving a half-hearted clap at the Microsoft Windows launch party. It was a go hard or go home situation.
Took a lot of courage to sit on a report and not release a statement until it was leaked.

Eddie’s issue was not releasing a statement before it was leaked.

Dan mentioned his surgery was done within an hour, only local. Didn't go under.
He will be out of that cast on friday and will just be in a splint. Starts running next week

Lippa also explains his injury from last year.

They mention Tay is a bit unfortunate with his ban, given fly actually encourages and coaches them to gang tackle.

Tay is just too strong for his own good.

doc.png The pic at the top was doctored by the photographer for fun and it duped people, but the one below is not and yet McGrath looks like he has such a small head and smaller stature. bighead.png It is quite amusing in a way.

I could honestly listen to McRae all day.
Just being on their show elevates Gaze and Maher to another level.
No wonder he has the players in his spell.
I reckon Leigh Matthews would be extremely proud of the coach he helped create in McRae.
