I remember that!!! It was during the height of the Collingwood/Richmond recruiting war - it almost sent both clubs to the wall.
Apparently, it was Peter's father Stan who talked him out of it. There should be a statue of him at the AIA Centre.

What was the last player trade between Richmond and Collingwood?
Yeah, if we're giving up easy goals it's usually because of what is happening up the field. Our defensive setup relies on the upfield effort. If that breaks down we can be in some trouble. The aggressive defending allows us to cut off entries sooner and to more quickly counter. If we don't stop the ball though, it can result in easy goals over the back.

For those interested at the 16min mark Cornes breaks down how we defend with good aerial shots, it shows why dogs forwards had so many marks, and also how our defenders don’t really take responsibly for one forward. It’s been working but it shows we leak goals when we turn it over. That’s how rich played, and how we do as well.
It’s quite good vision tbh
We have the option of tweaking that positioning during a game, but it's risk v reward and we've been a high risk taking team all year. I think it's the maIn reason Frampton has not locked in a defensive spot. We need smart and mobile defenders to play our brand, so Murphy has been preferred so far.

You know I'm being facetious. Besides, it doesn't really matter whether they think they're going to win or not..it's the perception of match fixing. And it's about them ensuring they win on the bet they've already placed.If youre going to fix a game you don’t pick one you’ll get flogged in anyway.
