Phones also get hacked. Whilst it's not my thing, I'm not sure why the victims are being blamed here. It's a crime to share intimate pics of people without their consent. It's not a crime to take intimate pics of yourself and share them with whomever you choose. Or not share them at all, which would be the case if people's phones were hacked.

Many of them are young mate. I did plenty of stupid things in my younger days. And now it’s even more prevalent with technology. I don’t disagree but unfortunately high profile, they might have sent it to a gf, who’s now an ex, who’s shared it. Plenty of reasons

I don't know. Like I said it's not my thing. I'm guessing previous generations took actual photos with a camera. I don't know. But the facts are, it's a crime to share intimate pics of someone without their permission. I don't know how this person got hold of intimate pics of 45 players.

The person who has this Google drive with intimate pics of 45 players does not have anyone's permission. That's why there is a criminal investigation and the AFL Integrity & police have had them removed from Google. But obviously, that's too late, because they have since been widely shared by more people who also do not have permission to share these intimate pics.
It's a police investigation now because it's a crime to share those pics. It's not a crime to take a photo of yourself and send it to whomever you choose.
