Typically shallow article from the Herald Sun. It’s astounding that people get paid for this.

Huh?

What's wrong with it?

Unless I'm missing something, it's all entirely factual? Are you arguing we're not easy to score against at the moment?

We were no 1 defence for 18 or so rounds and have been poor for the past 4. Missing our best players hasn’t helped, but we weren’t no 1 by chance. We can turn it around.

DK is talking us down, doing us a favour, because really he is on the pies bandwagon

Pies are still premiership favourites, and whichever club (Pies, Dees) wins our QF will be a short priced favourite thereafter. The media don’t know any more than we do.

DK said he watched the brisbane game 3 times, and said the issues he noticed with the pies were all hunger based
Possibly true. The issue is once you lose momentum it's not easy to get it back. Doubts start in the minds of players, opponents get more confident. We had the belief to win from any situation until July. Seems to have lost it in August.

Hope we can turn it around in time.

The players' body language after the game indicated they weren't very fussed about it. Had a similar vibe to that final round game in 2011 where Geelong smacked us by nearly 100 points. What made me nervous was how flustered Fly looked though.

I think it is quite similar to 2011
When it came down to it, we actually played well in the GF
We were a good shot to win it
But things didn't play out on the day for various reasons

I think if we play Brisbane in a GF it is likely to be quite even, and either team wold need a bit of luck to win it

Well, we seem to be able to flirt with form and turn things around from quarter to quarter , why not match to match?
I dont see why people think flicking a switch is beyond us
If ever there was a team of switch flickers, its us

It's a bit hard to tell by body language after a loss because they've been told not to act like losers after a game.

Yep. The narrative that our game plan had been worked out was wrong then. That Cats team was one of the best of all time and we were also dealing with the idiotic transition plan to Buckley, along with Malthouse's pigheaded refusal to rest injured players (or move one legged Ben Reid off Hawkins despite Tarrant having no match up after Podsiadly went off).

One good quarter is all it will take.

It states basic facts with no analysis of the underlying cause.
It’s shallow.
