Which is what the medal represents.
I see rings as just another “wannabe America” infiltration on our society.
Enough already.
Yes, but I like the idea of all the players who played during the premiership year receiving something from the club. Like Johnny Noble. I don't think it needs to be an AFL thing. I don't think it needs to be a ring. The club's can decide what's appropriate for them. If some clubs choose not to do anything, that's also fine.

I found the whole outrage about the idea kind of hilarious, tbh. None of the people who were so offended are ever going to receive anything like that anyway, so why do they care what another club does to acknowledge players who contributed during the year, including those who didn't play in the GF.

The story was about the AFL dropping a couple of million bucks every year on the idea. Wasn’t anything about clubs doing any kind of recognition on their own - which they are already free to do.

Yes I realise the AFL connection to the initial story. But the outrage I'm referring to extended to handing out anything at all to players who didn't play in a GF...and also to a 'ring' suggestion.

Outrage is a bit strong. Good news is that the idea appears dead in the water.

I think it’s nice that they all want to be secure after winning a premiership; I’d be concerned about giving all that metadata to Amazon though…

Anyone know roughly when tickets to Gold Coast game go on sale. Think it was a sellout last year.
Had someone call up the suns and ask,
Suns believe match tickets for Rd 16 versus Collingwood will most likely be available on May 28-29 pending Ticketek/AFL release.

I'm fine with that fixture

Only one Sunday, bizarrely against Richmond

As a fan of the twilight fixture, I'm happy with those too. I'll be on the Gold Coast for that game with my kids too, so twilight for that game is great. Can get them home at a reasonable hour before heading off to Mooloolaba the next day
