I have deleted specific posts and some responses to those posts.
I left some responses in place and removed the quoted post.
Most know who is being quoted - we just don’t need to keep reading it.
Hope that works for everyone.
My page shows “you are ignoring this poster” so I don’t have an issue with those posts because he/she is the only person in over 25 years of posting on Collingwood sites that I have placed on ignore.
I suggest others do the same.

Oh my, how they’ve fallen away.

The support group said the pain of the scandal was “simply too great to tolerate” and “causing great emotional and spiritual harm to us and our people”.

Fair enough
That’s the media and the lawyers creating the scandal.
Not CFC.
This only makes me hope even more that this goes full court case. He said, she said. Unless someone else was in the room, how do you prove anything?
And won’t this organisation have egg on its face when it comes back no case to answer?
Can we then say that this person is “ causing great emotional and spiritual harm to our supporters “?

That depends whether CFC / Kelly actually did do the things that were alleged. Or whether the claims were simply fabricated out of thin air.

(Which is a different thing to what is / isn’t proven in court)

Everybody will have their own opinion on that.

Personally, I think some of the things sound a bit too specific to be entirely made up.

Personally, I think the way Kelly generally handles himself doesn’t help our cause in this instance. (For example, IMO nobody would be taking the claims at all seriously if they had been levelled at Anderson, our previous CEO)

This only makes me hope even more that this goes full court case. He said, she said. Unless someone else was in the room, how do you prove anything?

As above, what gets proven is one thing. What actually happened is another.

Ideally you wouldn’t want these things to happen at all regardless of whether they’re provable. Especially since the ‘Do Better’ report.

And won’t this organisation have egg on its face when it comes back no case to answer?

No. Not at all.

It seems as though they just don’t want to be associated with those kind of claims. No court case outcome would change that.

And, for example, did a Collingwood representative give them a heads up what was going on and that their name was being dragged into this, or did they read it in the papers like the rest of us?

Can we then say that this person is “ causing great emotional and spiritual harm to our supporters “?

Dunno, I guess there is a reason the club put out a press release about this?

A former Collingwood defender and Geelong local footy star is facing the toughest challenge of his life after undergoing life saving surgery last week.
Kent Butcher, 50, underwent “unexpected” cervical spinal surgery on July 29 after a medical episode which caused him to fracture his C3, C4, C5, C6 and C7 vertebrae.
He also fractured disks and suffered central spinal cord damage which resulted in Butcher losing movement to his body.
A GoFundMe started to help the man more commonly known as Butch has since been started with almost $12,000 raised at the time of writing.
“He is slowly regaining some movement and strength post surgery but with a long road to recovery currently up in Melbourne at a specialists hospital,” the fundraiser said.
“Kent has to stay in hospital for the next few months for rehab to learn how to get back to a hopefully normal life by learning how to walk and use his hands again.
“It will also support daily life expenses being out of work for an unknown amount of time and help relieve financial stress off the family.
“With his determination growing up living and breathing the sporting industry we believe he can do it.”
Butcher played under-19s and reserves footy for Geelong but it was with Collingwood he earned his AFL opportunity.
He would debut in a round 9, 1993 loss to Fitzroy before returning to the side in round 19, playing in his first win against St Kilda.

In round 8 the following year, he was nominated for the rising star after finishing with 20 disposals against the Saints.
Butcher was delisted at the end of the 1995 season as a back injury hampered his career.
He was picked up by Sydney in the pre-season draft but never played a game for the Swans.
Throughout his 22-game career, Butcher was primarily a rebounding defender.
When his AFL career was over, Butcher eventually returned locally to Geelong where he played and coached.
If you wish to help with Butcher’s recovery, you can donate here.

Mark Cleaver wanted 250k for Ned tossing a marngrook at him...

What compensation does Crispy deserve after this!

Crisp probably in concussion protocols and breaking the streak! 🤣

1995 was the drawn game (Butcher didn't play). He did play against Essendon in 1994 (23rd April).

It's a terrible story, so I hope he can make a decent recovery.
I think that first ANZAC Day darw was the loudest I've heard a crowd. It was nuts

Can't see Carlton Members flocking in droves to sign up after Saturday! ;)

Mind you, fair dues to Tigers fans getting to $97K in a wooden spoon year. Must still be feeling the warmth of their 3 premierships.

What's more upsetting is that the 22under22 allows players aged 22 to be in the team.
Here is the rule.
"To be eligible for selection, players must be aged 22 or under for the entire season (including finals)"

Bit of leeway lol

Well no one at the Club under 22 that really is Best 22 at the Moment
Dont think it has to be players best 22, but I do think there is a games quota, HH has had a good year. But looking at that list of forwards, he would have struggled to be included.
