Aside from Collingwood, who is the equivalent of WC in this debate, which MCG tenant is selling out the G? Once the Eagles are even mediocre again that ground will sell out 13 times a year minimum unlike the G which is a sell out maybe 4 to 5 times outside finals. Or are you suggesting the practical exercise would be to reduce the seating capacity of the G in the next redevelopment because the Dees and Hawks like Fremantle can’t sell it out? The economics of an upgraded Optus stack better than a 100,000 capacity MCG.Once again - they aren't selling it out. The Perth stadium build was a political football for many years. That might be your practical reason.

"The economics"? Get your hand off it Sco. How could you possibly be placed to come up with that conclusion? So many variables of which you(and I) would have no idea. Construction costs, the numbers behind opening stadia on lesser capacity days, etc. etc.Aside from Collingwood, who is the equivalent of WC in this debate, which MCG tenant is selling out the G? WCE were against the 80,000 proposal because they calculated it was better to have a smaller stadium with higher priced entry.Aside from Collingwood, who is the equivalent of WC in this debate, which MCG tenant is selling out the G? Small forwards maybe.Only looks like one in there, in case the other two are hiding
Should count as 101 if career ended for medical reasons.I checked, he played 57.
Will out perform AFLXCould you imagine a DogAFL?
Schultz was a disappointment after the Pies invested heavily in him with draft capital and virtually replaced Jack Ginnivan with him, with Ginnvan a roaring success at Hawthorn.
From the article:
So the line between bitter disappointment and roaring success for a small forward is somewhere between 24 goals in 20 games (1.2 a game) and 28 goals in 23 games (1.217 a game). Talk about fine margins.
100%. Avoids contact, plays for free and sits on outside. Doesn’t work when his team not winning uncontested footy easily. Soon as clubs tighten up the hawks loose ball he’s going to struggle just like he did FriIf Hawthorn continue to improve , pressure on spots. Ginnivan is going to be hard up against it like he was at the pies.
Really? Bruest, Watson, Moore, Ginnivan, Macdonald.Don't think they are flushed with small forwards though.
Bruest they seem to prefer him in the sub role and he's at the end of his career.Really? Bruest, Watson, Moore, Ginnivan, Macdonald.
it’s one of those things where the the sizzle is valued over the sausage, an over the top goal celebration gets your picture in the paper and gives the impression that your game was better than it actually was. From the article:

Bruest and MacDonald, like Ginni, both kicked over 20 at better than a goal a game playing as small forwards. They bat deep in the position.Bruest they seem to prefer him in the sub role and he's at the end of his career.
Moore and Watson I'll give.
Macdonald I'm not sure he is a small forward, but maybe playing there because of the midfield depth.
No doubt. He'll have to keep improving, and he's not quite 22 yet, so should be plenty improvement left in him.Bruest and MacDonald, like Ginni, both kicked over 20 at better than a goal a game playing as small forwards. They bat deep in the position.
If Hawks can keep spreading so well with outside transition - Ginni is as safe as a house - as he plays that way really well. But if their movement gets clamped and they have to go to a contest more often, he's still got to improve.
For his sake listening to advice from coaches might be a start. ie Grow upNo doubt. He'll have to keep improving, and he's not quite 22 yet, so should be plenty improvement left in him.
Not sure Mitchell is giving him the type of advice he needs. For his sake listening to advice from coaches might be a start. ie Grow up
That's where his lack of pace will be a weakness.Bruest and MacDonald, like Ginni, both kicked over 20 at better than a goal a game playing as small forwards. They bat deep in the position.

Sam Mitchell seems to have some good strategy. Should offer him a promotion to Pie assistant coach.Ooh I wonder which assistant coach we'll be after ..
