Ive liked him. Really came out of his shell under fy and started to be more vocal at training.
While he was midfield coach this year, but think that would be a bit unfair to judge given all our injuries. But believe he coached one of the practice games early in the year.

Seems well liked and respected.
The few times I’ve heard him speak he doesn’t inspire me.
So as far as being the face, (mouthpiece) of the club, I’m not so sure.

That's pretty much it. His specialty is player development which is an area we need improving

Nothing is unrelated. You don’t think the board and Fly didn’t think months ago when WCE job came about that one of our coaches might be up for the position. It’s forward planning to get Boyd just in case and with other assistants in our club moving around in different jobs it was smart to get Boyd to cover every contingency.
When Skipworth goes we won’t be left with a big hole as we’ve filled it already and one of the VFL coaches or a development coach might get a bump up but we’ve covered our arses with the experience of Boyd.

Who knows who does what or whether the assistants are any good ? but my bet is that he'll be on-board with the way we've played the last 3 years and you'll be playing the Tiges style fundamentals that we play if he goes to you.
