The issue with that is it gets back to the reason why they moved away from the medical sub - fake injuries.

I'm not sure I understand why

If they can use the sub tactically, then get an injury, if they can bring that tactical sub back into the game and replace them with an injured player, why would that lead to fake injuries like before?

They don't need to fake it because they can still tactically sub

If you could bring the subbed player back for an injury, they'd probably do some early tactical subs - later in the game with a different scoreboard, they would sometimes want to tactically sub again.

Easy way to curtail this is that if you want to bring your subbed out player back on the field, the player he's replacing cannot play the following week - If it's supposed to be used for injury/concussion, then that shouldn't be an issue anyway.

Interesting piece of information about a person who many in this thread believed the sky was falling because of him leaving.

Any possibility that he's not the unbelievably irreplaceable high-level operator that I was assured he was? That just maybe, someone else can fill his shoes?

His son? Roaming Bolts seems to communicate well…

Bolton is widely regarded as a very skilled assistant coach (known for meticulous planning and prep and decent tactical nous), with his abrasive personality more than offset by the benefits he brings.

Big part of the premiership win,
thanks to him.

I think Wright burning out meant the relationships weren't being as well managed, hence more frequent clashes.

Correct call if it was Leppa or Bolton, but we had both for two years, shame a lower finish led to the breakdown

I hope Kelly and the new footy boss can calm the farm, you can't just hire all the best harmonious workers, you have to work with imperfect people.
