AFLW 2024 - Round 9 - Indigenous Round - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
The issue with that is it gets back to the reason why they moved away from the medical sub - fake injuries.
If you could bring the subbed player back for an injury, they'd probably do some early tactical subs - later in the game with a different scoreboard, they would sometimes want to tactically sub again.I'm not sure I understand why
If they can use the sub tactically, then get an injury, if they can bring that tactical sub back into the game and replace them with an injured player, why would that lead to fake injuries like before?
They don't need to fake it because they can still tactically sub

Easy way to curtail this is that if you want to bring your subbed out player back on the field, the player he's replacing cannot play the following week - If it's supposed to be used for injury/concussion, then that shouldn't be an issue anyway. If you could bring the subbed player back for an injury, they'd probably do some early tactical subs - later in the game with a different scoreboard, they would sometimes want to tactically sub again.
Finger smashers too, at 9.00am in the Canberra winters, 2 degrees in the fog......Is this what is called a daisy cutter ?
What a great premiership story that would beHopefully Lachie can blossom with his old mates Dan, Darcy and Jordy out there with him for full seasons next year. What a reunion that'll be with an AFL flag together
A lot of one year terms signed.
Step up or P-off contracts.
I like it.
It depends if he gets an interviewDo we think Peter Bell is our next GM?
He just quit Fremantle apparently
At this stage, I’d hope so.Do we think Peter Bell is our next GM?
He just quit Fremantle apparently
My concern alsoWould rather Bell than Justin Reid.
I'm getting the feeling it's Reid though based on his past relationship with Kelly and the fact it's been so quiet on that front makes me believe they're just waiting till the draft is over ....

Interesting piece of information about a person who many in this thread believed the sky was falling because of him leaving.
Any possibility that he's not the unbelievably irreplaceable high-level operator that I was assured he was? That just maybe, someone else can fill his shoes?
His son? Roaming Bolts seems to communicate well…
Micro manager. Don't want Mr. BellPeter Bell would be a great get as our Head of Football. Hugely experienced in a multitude of roles.
