Good to hear on Big Footy the random thoughts of someone who was on Big Footy, who now isn't on Big Footy.

I remember Mattys123. He used to post a fair bit on here. What happened to him on BigFooty? Did he get suspended?

But he apparently matters now, because he’s on the twitters.

If Geelong want any chance to land Henry they need to actually pay a price this trade period and lose a player they wouldn't mind keeping in Esava.

I'd take 25 and 33 to be rid of Henry tonight.

On the flip side I'll be happier if we dispose of him for nothing, don't cave and he takes his chances in the draft if pick 25 is all that's offered.

Wright needs to keep holding the line and let Geelong come with a better offer.

He left because he felt BF was toxic. He moved to the much less toxic platform of Twitter 🥴

Looking like one of the biggest trade periods for awhile between clubs this year. Movements more than anything else.

Just to add to the Olly Henry discussion - Surely our recruiting staff would of asked Olly pre-draft "You have a brother who plays for Geelong, you're from Geelong and you come from a Geelong family. We really need to nail this draft: is this Geelong thing going to be an issue later down the track?" and he would of said "Absolutely not, very happy to be drafted by anyone, would be an honour blahblahblah" (perhaps literally)

That's the most frustrating thing for me - very difficult to not feel as if he hasn't been honest with the club, I mean I would assume this has been the plan all along. I noticed in the Rnd3 Geelong game that when the cats were roughing up Ginnie and our boys were sticking up for him, Olly was doing his utmost to stay well away from the action ...

Literally the exact same thing would've been spoken to with JHF. He was happy to take the extra $$ and be named the coveted #1 pick though, knowing full well he was always going back home.

And people wonder why fans get upset when rookies leave after 12 and 24 months. It's the deceitfulness and the lies more than anything.

Could just be general fight squib correlation rather than Geelong mummy's boy causation.

I'm ready to admit if we don't get Tom Mitchell, this trade period has been a huge and utter failure.
Why would you say that?
Got rid of a millstone of a salary and a player who has been average since he got the big deal.
McStay and Frampton fill huge needs and Hill could surprise a lot of people.

Henry. meh, was always going, Can't do a hell of a lot about that if he is that intent. Just either maximise the return, or send him to the draft.

Hardly a huge failure.

Yes, there were plenty of comments at the time.

Yep exactly! I understand it's their career, but it has really big implications for the club that gave them their opportunity and it's just not nice ..

Yeah look I did think about that as well, that could very well be a big factor 😅 I just can't help but feel, knowing how close he is with the Geelong group: that he was giving off some "double agent" vibes that night
