That comes at the cost of Cox’ and Cameron’s marking prowess around the ground. It’s not worth the trade off and we’re better trading Grundy for currency to get us a gun onballer.

Cox is serviceable at moment.
He’s not the answer and at 31, Grundy has years ahead of him.
Not to mention he is just a superior footballer to boot meaning we will become instantly better

It's perhaps the flavour of the month, but I'm open to investigating Grundy Change of Ownership transactions going forward.

Lol every stat except goals.

I actually didn't think it was that close thought Degoey was the better of the 2, but there you have it Tarranto in nearly all categories is statistically the superior player and 2 years younger.

Apples and oranges. You'd expect a midfielders stats to look better than a forwards. That's where they've spent the bulk of their careers. Taranto mid, De Goey forward.

Don't listen too closely to rockcliff. He has made some big statements this year, hiding behind his numerous sources, that have turned out to be crap. Trying to make himself relevant in the media.

This.

The numerous articles in the last 24 hours are off the back of Rockliff pretending to play scoop. He also flippantly mentioned that we’d have to pay 1/2, or maybe 1/4 of his salary.

I think Grundy stays.

1/4 - 1/2 is such an enormous variance. Really indicates that he has no substance here.

Quite baffling to me how people can watch opposition mids waltz out of the middle to get a clearance without getting tackled, and then turn around and ramble about how we’re better off without Grundy.
That's been happening all year, with and without Grundy

Agree, a fit and committed DeGoey is a match winner. Would hate to see him go to a Geelong, and make them even better, as l think he would.
I think the club would want him to stay, and if he was to leave, would only be if he was looking for a fresh start, and change of environment.

And only played 20 less games
DeGoey often misses

It's quite baffling that people think a bad list management decision by a previous regime will not change when a new regime comes in, Grundy is as good as gone

If he’s gone it’s also partly because of a good list management decision….. bringing Cameron in.

The last month of the season will tell us a bit… how they manage three rucks in the 22. Grundy should not be traded just for the sake of it, because it would be shortsighted to move him on given Cox is 31 ( and for that matter Mihocek is 30) .

A club ( presumably Crows or Power) will have to come up with a very appealing offer, with Collingwood having to pay little or no salary compensation and also receive top trade value.

Funnily enough, you're wrong. We had 80 centre clearances to 83 for the opposition with Grundy in the side, the only big team loss in that area was against the Bombers. Almost breaking even.

Since then, 98 for us vs 132 for the opposition. Our transitional play and pressure is what is doing it for us.

Essentially, what you said is completely untrue.

Great post - staggering how so many have short memories and forget how much clearance work Grundy contributes.

He’s not even Kane Cornes from wish.

He’s like off Etsy or whatever and the person that said they could make you a media performer sent you a talking Krusty doll.
