I agree he would. I don't really know what the trade would cost as I really can't think of similar scenarios. And I'm not sure where your confidence in a relatively low value comes from. You're right, they get to their club of choice via trade. This could be no exception (if he wanted to join Geelong)
The contract offer both dollar wise and length usually gives it away.if you're Geelong's list manager, would you offer a pretty penny for an unproven kid playing twos? Be realistic.
Unproven? Pffftif you're Geelong's list manager, would you offer a pretty penny for an unproven kid playing twos? Be realistic.
In recent years we've also drafted Moore, Mclarty, Cox and Kelly, and had first round picks tied up in Daicos, Quaynor, Treloar and Beams. It's not that we havent looked for a KPF later in the draft. It's that they haven't come on. KPF's drafted after about pick 25 are successful and clubs are reluctant to put the extra years of development for those types into players who likely won't make it. Larkey and Mitch Lewis are exceptions to the rule.Does anyone else wonder why tf collingwood has not drafted a key forward for a long time?
McMahon was drafted as a key forward but after that I cannot remember.
You look at Nick Larkey and Mitch Lewis who were were pick 70+
Looking at the draft of Stephenson who to be fair did help us get to the GF, the likes of Naughton, Sam Taylor, Oscar Allen
I know Naughton and Taylor were drafted as full backs, but we have had Cox and a Rookie Mihoceck (who I love) as our key forwards.
I still hope Stephenson comes good even though he plays for North

I almost thought the Hawks taking Mitchel Lewis the same year as Mitchel and Lewis retired was a piss take lolIn recent years we've also drafted Moore, Mclarty, Cox and Kelly, and had first round picks tied up in Daicos, Quaynor, Treloar and Beams. No - you need to watch Show Me The Money on Stan. Hill was keen on coming to us but we pulled out because we couldn't get a deal done without compromising our draft hand for Daicos.Didn't Hill say no to us multiple times and only wanted to go to Essendon?

And that season where Moore was unsigned until October was 2018 when he was seriously contemplating a trade to Sydney.Depends. I remember Moore went unsigned a few years back til October. Some deals just take longer than expected. IF Ollie had put off talks until the end of the season then we should be worried but that hasn’t been the case so I’m expecting it will get done. And the media (cal twomey etc) say the same.

I do know someone that works for the cats, but even she believes he had no interest in going to Geelong and he will stay a pie.

Lots of overrating of Ollie Henry going on.

Where do you think status quo in midfield gets us next year?
How many females work in the Geelong football department?
Assumes there’ll be no internal development of players and it would be a status quo.
I think at a minimum we should expect more from Carmichael with a full preseason under his belt.
Clarko values elite ball use… there is ZERO CHANCE he goes after spuds like Tyler and Chugg.Very weird. If Geelong can get Grundy and Taranto, why have a salary cap? They are doing some insane accounting maintain the number of stars they have.
It's Richmond. They're still figuring out how they lost to us in the 2018 Preliminary Final and how Cox, a player whose essentially a first ruck, murdered their defence and kicked four sweet goals.
I have heard once or twice a rumour that Tyler Brown and Isaac Chugg may find their way to North but that's it and it is only a rumour so take it with a grain of salt.

How old is he 20? Takes clutch pack marks, players like that are worth plenty, you could’ve spent pick one on this kid and not been disappointed, shown more than Yugal Hagan (spelling).I don’t disagree, but he’s an out of contract player who isn’t in our best 22 and won’t play finals. We won’t have a say if he decides to leave. If we can secure a pick at around 20 for him in that situation, it is a relative win
He was taken Pick 17. Up until Sunday he was 3rd in our goalkicking. He has atleast increased his value on Pick 17 since being drafted and to say different is absolute BS.Yep, people remember his flashes of brilliances but he also had flashes of awful turnovers and mistakes, plus his defensive work is quite poor.
Whilst AJ is obvious competition in the short term, to me, his real competitor for his natural forward role is Elliott. I'm hoping he gets thrown around a bit for the next few years whilst developing, until he is mature and steps into Elliott's shoes - when Elliott's days are done.
