Yeah agree Tall defender is most important now. I'd like Houston too.daicos, degoey, Mitchell, Pendles, crisp, perryman, Allan. With McGuane next year.
Don’t need peatling. Other spots to fill
Friends don't let friends stay humble. You got the ‘love’ for rejection of humility
Simon Buckley 2.0Peatling is a spud
You may be mistakenly concluding his body type equates to a lack of fitness. He just needs to get fitter and hit the side of a barn with his goal kicking and everything will be fine
I don’t see it as a miss, in hindsight we overpaid but in reality the cost blew out because we underperformed on the field.Yep
Not sure how that really changes what I said
Schultz is really only the one miss of Wrights imo. He's allowed one surely?

Definitely looked slimmer at dockersYou may be mistakenly concluding his body type equates to a lack of fitness.
His gut running both ways and how far he gets up the field to apply pressure and tackle the opposition (he’s also in top half dozen in the league for tackles in F50) indicates his fitness is exceptional.
Without his nuggety build, he wouldn’t be able to use his body as a battering ram either. His courage, run and tackling was a standout this year.
Focus on your first line, that’s correct IMHO.What I find odd about his composure/disposal was that it seemed to be a strength of his coming in?
All his highlights showed he was a decent disposer and during the pre-season games he was delivering absolute bullets.
Made watching all his misses and turnovers perplexing to see.
So basically he’s an above average bust? ConfusingHe’s not a miss based upon output this season.
He’s above average in more metrics than not, and elite in F50 tackles.
And he will only get better.

Appears so.So basically he’s an above average bust? Confusing
Maybe our weights program have beefed him upDefinitely looked slimmer at dockers
He misses easy goals And occasionally makes poor decisions
Small forwards especially ones that have cost a lot need to kick these goals
The disposal efficiency is a concernMaybe our weights program have beefed him up
He has no fear and no respect for his body with how hard how he hits the contest. He is tough as nails.
I was mainly referring to any doubts on his aerobic capacity. I think he’s a bit of a freak that way. Solid build but can run all day with decent pace. I think he’s very fit.
Not sure why the interest here. You are aware of his personal issues are you not…? I think st kilda were happy to run down his contract and supportively say thanks, and best of luck…Where’s my boy membrey
If we can seperate the two - output and what we paid, then he hits the mark with output. And of course he could have kicked more goals during the year because he missed some sitters he should’ve been around the 30 - 35 goal mark but he did work up the ground a bit.I don’t see it as a miss, in hindsight we overpaid but in reality the cost blew out because we underperformed on the field.
Not GW’s fault.
Shoota will be an asset for us, I’m not putting leftie on it because Jesse White already cost me leftie.
Imagine if he tidied that stat up then? The disposal efficiency is a concern
It’s more said in jest city. But I still like his aerial game. I’d take him for the lack of cost but with our lack of list spots nothings happeningNot sure why the interest here. You are aware of his personal issues are you not…? I think st kilda were happy to run down his contract and supportively say thanks, and best of luck…
When your a small forwardImagine if he tidied that stat up then?
You get points for identifying one stat he could be better on but he still did just fine everywhere else.
I think he’ll do even better next season.
That's why you insist that Noble is part of the trade. We get first shot at getting that pick.I’m no draft expert. But simply saying our first next year should net us 12 this year is far to simplistic.
This year’s draft is reported as very deep. Next year by all reports is not as strong, and seems even more full of academy players. So to simply say for example pick 10-12 next year is the same as pick 12 this year makes no sense. If the top 20 this year is the equivalent of top 10 next year then the pick value is diff. None of us have scouting notes in every kid this year or next. The clubs do. So they know the values of the picks more than anyone here. They will know what quality they could potentially get in pick ranges. That’s their job.
Second to this, it’s already clear Gold Coast has multiple suitors wanting pick 12. It’s a bidding war. In an auction, you are going to pay more.
I don’t know the value. But it’s not a straight swap.
Pendles and Mitchell at the end… but agree there’s enough there for next year… look at another mid in 12 months time
Now time to find the Murphy replacement we need to stabilise things down back… but not much quality left in the out of contract market
Best hope is a quality contracted defender suddenly nominates the pies
Otherwise.,, with Moore down on form, Howe ageing and Dean and Frampton average…holding oppositions forwards could become an Achilles heel for the pies next year…
