Collingwood Vs St Kilda we should never forget why we hate them!

Everytime we play St KILDA you bring this up...getting very old and very annoying.

It was an unfortunate event that happened over 30 years ago. Im sure there have been some unsavoury incidents in Collingwoods history. Actually i know there have been.

And while im at it, St Blunda is not funny, clever or even remotely amusing.

We play to win, just like Greening did. Actually met the big fella once, nice bloke who still loves the pies but does not dwell on the past. Collingwood: Roll St Kilda Saturday night, in their current form so John, myself & every other Collingwood person enjoys the moment that is NOW.

Imagine if next week we select a player with one purpose, to knock out Buddy cold and sacrifice himself for the team as he will be suspended. What would we as a Club and as Supporters think of a tactic like that and of a man that could go out and do it. We would be ashamed and disgusted.....

St Blunda made the man who destroyed the career of John Greening a Board member and a Life Member. They are a disgrace of a Club and we should be ashamed in handing them their one and only Premiership.

Way in the past, but if in fact they have made him a current board member and life member, then I have to say, they're asking for it since by implication they are rewarding him for his vicious attack. It is extremely disrespectful and in fact contemptuous of J Greening to have O'Dea as a board member, and for that they deserve our hatred and contempt.

But I would need confirmation that O'dea is in fact a board member and life member.

The poor bloke can't even enjoy his football and football club without being constantly reminded of this episode.

I think the real reason there is a pies / saints hate is because

a) we've both been in the comp fron the start

and

b) you gave us our only flag, by 1 point

Wow and here I was just hating St Kilda for the last 30 years just because there are all "pretty boys" and their supporters are full of themselves when they are winning!!! I didnt even know about this episode....

Opti, it was a dogs act and those responsible I hope feel remorse for what happened. I'm not sure what the decision criteria was for the hall of fame however IMO everyone should move on.

My point is that I hope that 99% of Saints fans aren't proud of that part of their history.

Whether we should persecute the coach and player involved or forgive is up to each of us but I don't want to hate them for what happened 30 years ago.
