-------------------------------------------------------------------

My Thoughts;

We have an awesome record against the Swans, winning our last 8 straight, including 4 on this very ground. The fact we don't have to play Sydney on their home ground is a blessing every year, and we show that by winning each time.
This year "should" be no different, we were beating them when they were a premiership contender, and now we are the contenders.
The "ins" are huge for us, and with doubt over Bradshaw, and with the loss of Kennelly already, they Swans are ripe for the picking here.
The anticipated wet weather won't worry either side, although it will probably mean a closer, even more contested game then usual.

With the pies inclusions, I really can't see us losing such an important game, as if we win, we go to withing 2 points of the top of the ladder, and 10 points clear of the Swans.

My Tip;

The weather won't have am impact on the final result, although it may have an impact on the margin. If it's dry, the pies could run away with the game, but if the wet weather continues as predicted, it may be tight.

PIES by 14.

Also, for anyone who is still alive in the goalkicking competition, please select your candidate for this week;

The game against brisbane where we went interstate, whil you were all very confident with our interstate record. I was very nervous and worried. and you know hwo that turned out.

When i heard the Ins and Outs i thought oh no this could be bad. but thinking about it, Bradshaw isnt 100% fit and presti can easily deal with him.

We have massive Ins this week which couldve help us win against Melbourne.

holy shit, if we win we're 2 points away from top spot... MASSIVE GAME THIS. and importantly we will be 6 points clear from outside top 4.

I feel this could be a comfortable win if the weather doesnt play with us.
and i dont usually feel this way. hopefully its a good win.:thumbsu: but a danger game still.

Hope the usual tough, dynamic interstate Pies turn up tonight.

Don't want to see the meek mob which played Melbourne last game and handed the game to Brisbane a few weeks back.

The key will be to play quick, free flowing play on through the middle of the ground (we seem to do this on interstate grounds most of the time for some reason) kicking to Trav/Dawesy to ADVANTAGE in space and if they can't mark, then let Dids, Davis, Dick or Locks finish them off.

Expecting a big game from Swanny, Dids and Pendles.

Excited for this one after having the week off, but feeling a bit toey. Stakes a pretty high, this is one we should win, but I'm not sure what will happen. Rumours about Heath being out, no Maxwell, and a few blokes coming back from injury plus Goldsack who reportedly hasn't been on fire. Not exactly sure how we'll come out tonight. Hopefully the shakeup causes a good dynamic shift, and we continue our awesome record over these guys.

Our INS will get us across the line, but it is going to be the hardest game against Sydney in a long while. I'm at the airport now, waiting for my flight to Sydney, sadly I'm going straight to shanghai from kingsford smith and not staying for the game :p

Big Game here if we Win we make a 1 and half game Break from the teams outside the 4 but Lose well we just about go back to the pack.

Very Nervous so to ease the stress I be heading down to Princess Park later to watch the U-18 Championships RD 4 Games

Swanny (in the HSUN) says it's our biggest game of the year so far, and I agree.

Another 8 pointer, where if we win we are 10 points clear of the Swans, yet if we lose, it's a 2 point gap.

A loss also drops us behind Freo, and only half a game ahead of the Dogs.

Weather in Sydney has improved remarkably, or at least the forecast has.

A must win game, got a 12.40 flight up, so I'm leaving soon.

Good stuff Dave. Hopefully we see a run down of the players that impress in your thread :thumbsu:

Good Luck for the game, I hope we reverse the trend of our losses but I doubt it. It will rain at some stage for sure today and I expect McGlynn to completely nullify Didak today. Fingers Crossed.

i was just looking at the tv guide online and found out that ten is showing the game tonight but at the same time OneHD is showing motor racing, thats bull$hit that they dont show the AFL in HD for a fu*king hobby driving a car or a bike isnt a Fn sport show the AFL in HD

Useless but interesting stat from todays Sun said that Swans have not beaten a top 8 side all year. Not sure it means all that much but maybe it'll help calm Daves nerves :p

Thats not a completely fair stat as we did beat Brisbane when they were in the top 8. They suck now but they were much stronger when we played them earlier in the year.
