Reads like a greatest hits of "interesting" takes

  • 5 years from not just making finals but even contending for finals
  • Have ignored the draft
  • LDU not an A grader
  • Steevo and Scott the same grade as Atu and Hayden
  • Archer a "rising star" but Powell "needs time"
  • Describes JHF as a valuable bargaining chip then trades him for the kings ransom of....one top 10 pick....and a third rounder
  • Describes said trade as a "bold" list management decision - I'd go with "bloody stupid" myself
  • We shouldn't trade any first, second or third round picks for players...but we should go after Rory Lobb - how do you propose getting him Gary?
  • We should look at Victorian kids in the draft....unless SA or WA kids are better, in which case go for them

Did recovery in his own way!!!.....As a side note what exactly makes Laidley a "Legend"....just thinking out loud here,,,,I don't think she is in the AFL hall of fame as a legend, premiership player yes (probably in no small part due to Wayne) but plenty of other premiership players never get called a "Legend".....became a coach with highlight being a losing prelim???.......I think "Legend" is a bit fanciful!

Oh well.

Bucky also often exclaims during test matches "they need to get a wicket this over".

Sometimes it's even when the side he wants to win is actually bowling.

Yes we need to get cracking, if we win the toss I think we bat first next season. Our first change bowlers are a little suspect.

Mahony doesn't really get the ball to spin, will occasionally surprise the batsmen with one that goes straight on.
LDU aka Dennis Lillee will cause some trouble.

There will be lashings of humble pie eaten over the next few years. I am concerned for certain media peoples cholesterol levels.
