"a score of players have simply been unable to hack it anymore, and headed for greener pastures elsewhere."

But who though? JHF and McKay are the only ones I can think of who left with their best footy ahead of them, and we could've/would've kept both if we'd wanted to but we saw a way to benefit by losing them. Everyone forgets JHF was traded with a year to run on his contract, but we were able to flip him for Wardlaw + Goad, and just watch Duursma's highlights on the weekend to understand why we let McKay go. There's Goldstein, Higgins and Tarrant too? Older players who did/will do little at their new clubs.

Feels like the author just reckons there must have been some kind of exodus but didn't bother to check, our player retention has been pretty good with important pieces like Simpkin, Larkey and now Sheezel signing long-term deals, Zurhaar staying when he had plenty of opportunities to leave, and many of the other recent draftees signing extensions. We're hardly early 2010s Brisbane.
You are correct. A "score" has numerical value in English. It is literally 20. So that didn't happen.

They're probably grouping JHF, McKay, Brown, Tarrant, Higgins, and Wood together, but JHF is the only one who kinda fits the narrative (they're severely underplaying the home sickness element). McKay was basically chased out the door because it was a no brainer to take a top 3 pick for him, Brown wanted too many years given that he had questionable knees, Tarrant and Higgins wanted to chase a flag (both quickly fell off the cliff after leaving, too), and Wood was delisted. But it's not as though the Roar has robust editorial standards. I could probably train a monkey to write opinion articles for them.

I wouldn't expect that from The Roar, publishers of "North Melbourne is the parasite club of the AFL"

Bard waxing lyrical about how good he was when he worked at the AFL.

Basically admitted that MRO decisions are based on medical grounds to prevent litigation.
Very unlike Bard to pump up his own tyres. If it wasn’t for Noble he’d be my most despised coach we’ve ever had. But it’s a photo finish anyway.

I can’t stand looking at him let alone listening to him.

Delisting Boomer, property portfolios not premierships, giving us a packet of cheese twisties PP and then rocking up to coach *scum straight after in a huge conflict of interest.

GAGF..

also trying to poach as many players he can from us.

Yeah what a ****ing dumb segment, they show Taylor intercepting an awful long bomb to Larkey with 3 defenders hanging off him "that's how you play as a key defender," then they show a forward entry under absolutely no pressure that gets kicked over Pink's head when he took front position. Yeah no shit, it's the quality of the forward entry. They kicked it to their player's advantage because they could because no one was chasing.

Hows ******* Lloyd the punce. Zirk thatcher and ratagolea? They’re ******* s*t defenders. Eat a dick Hutchy you ****** and Lloyd, ya teams s*t, ya coach is s*t, your entire organisation is ***** s**t
Ever thought about a job in the diplomatic corps Duck?

So what they were saying was we should have recruited Sam Taylor instead of Toby Pink?

Weirdest part to me was when they lumped Logue in with Corr trying to say we've spent way too much on overpaid key defenders who suck. Logue was having a fantastic season before he did his ACL, incredibly cruel way to talk about a guy who's been sidelined with a horrible injury and would surely be frustrated not to be out there right now.

It’s almost as if the best key defender in the AFL is a better quality than the best key defender in the SANFl. Ground breaking insight from the classified team.

Logue is a B+ grade defender on about 650k per year. I think the Kangas did really well on that plus he is a ripping bloke that gives a shit.

Piss poor from those click bait campaigners. They froth on the reaction from North Supporters.

I’ll never forget that time I had a go at that fat campaigner on level 2 coming out of the tote. “Oi Hutch ya fat campaigner, you never got a kick did ya? Ya fat shit campaigner”

Kayo is an absolute disgrace. Just spent two hours trying to resolve a subscription issue on their online chat, going around in circles until they finally accepted there was actually an issue and escalated it to another department and told me I'd hear back in 3-5 business days 😡

Their streams on various apps are inconsistent at best and terrible a lot of the time, particularly on mobile devices. Their customer service is even worse, all online and slow to respond if they respond at all.

I just checked the broadcast schedule and in the first 15 rounds (which is as far as the schedule currently goes) we have two games on free to air. I totally get, given our form of the last few years, why that is, but that means Kayo/Fox is the only option for us to watch games we can't get to in person.

The AFL treats us like cr@p selling the rights to them with obviously no accountability on providing a service that works or customer service that can resolve it when it doesn't. All about them all making as much money as possible and relying on our love of the game and our team to accept the sh!t sandwich they serve us.
same as ticketing, tiketek is a disgrace
