Pretty sure the decision was.made prior to the Pies game, after the Geelong abomination
It was.

We also played largely different in that game compared to how we were playing before that. We are the kings at getting a sugar rush and playing 1v1 'release the shackles' footy when the coach is sacked.

The playing group still hasn't worked out how to defend properly. It's desperate for on-field guidance. That's how far back we're coming from.

How many awful coaches in a row though, before we realise it isn’t the coaches?

Noble has been a good operator in every role except our head coach. He didn’t have a long enough run at it to prove or disprove his ability. Remember, we almost won his very last game. Raises heaps of questions about whether he had lost the players. What would have happened if we had pipped Collingwood? Still moved him on?

He is not dumb, and this was one of the better editions of Sacked.

We've had awful coaches, awful players, awful onfield leaders, awful administrators, awful recruiting staff, awful conditioning staff.

I think the awfulness is fairly well spread around Arden St. Not sure it's fair to pinpoint any one area of awful.

Maybe, but it smoothed over in that environment.

I do respect him for what he is/was - one of our and the AFL’s greats. Not just going to say he was a good leader though.
Leading is more than pats on the bum, sharing property portfolio spreadsheets and organising the end of year footy trip to be fair.

Running your guts out, standing up in key moments during games and breaking the hearts of the opposition ranks pretty highly. Boomer had that in spades.
