Just looking at a few better teams, like yours, I can see what my team lacked, titch & grundy, i gave away too many points; i.e. apart from injuries, VC/C and a lousy starting team

Definitely, those 2 plus + Gawn have been must have's this year. Could prob add Cripps to the list.

I started with Kreuz, traded him for Grundy in Rd5 but other than that no other premo misses from my Rd1 team. Only 1 sideway trade, but that was more of an upgrade (Walters > Danger) It's the difference between being in the no trades club & still having a few injury trades left.

Well this is what I got to on the weekend. 1 trade and 97k left.

The weaknesses are probably Shuey, Kelly and Riewoldt, but all of them have done ok over the last few weeks. Hopefully not having a good enough side to have better premos will turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

The strength is probably the coverage, where I can lose two premos on any line and have premo cover (if you count Fritsch as a premo, which he isn't, but I can pretend he is).

Lack of DEF/FWD & DEF/MID swing is a bit concerning but hopefully the coverage should be okay.

I'm surprised that you aren't ranked a lot higher than that, Faz. On paper (player averages) your team is far superior to mine. You have excellent bench cover as well. How fast you complete your team & negotiate the bye rounds so important, but just a few untimely injuries can kibosh all the best laid plans. You should still finish strong with that team & 2 trades. A top 1k finish not out of the question with 5 rounds still to play IMO.

Yeh, I had some early injuries, fluffed the byes a bit and seem to have missed the top guy as captain a few times. For a final team, it's quite OK.

I have a irrational fear that if I pick them, they will get injured so I'm removing any doubt.

Only ever had 2 players from the blues in my team ever - Carrazzo the year that Essendon nuffy killed him, and Murph when Danger killed him.

Finally got Josef Fritzl to the bench to complete it, although the way Spuddy is going he will be back on shortly.

3 trades and **** all coin left. Oscar Mac has been a godsend as ruck cover - might be able to get aaallllyyyoooooooddddd in a week or two if no one carks it.

Gotta lose the superstitions I reckon when both who you don't have are top players in their position
