Cometti has lost the plot. He's starting to recycle jokes with the space of a week, which is just sad.

Watto's not much chop as a special commentator (which he seems to do on the Sundays), but as boundary rider he does precisely what he has to do. It's a pretty simple job - I mean, even Dipper excelled at it, but most people in the industry still manage to stuff it up.

Going by the quality of 7's current callers, Sandy could sleep through the match and still be streets ahead. Just wake him up for a token "Sets sail for home!" and the job is done.

In fact, Lou Richards could still probably do a better call than most of the jokers milling about these days. Bring him back.

Not because their coverage sucked it is because I would never have to see or hear from Luke Darcy, Robert Walls and Andy f****n Maher ever again. Now luke darcy is going to be on 7 and maher on fox sports. I bloody hate Maher.

I listen to Luke Darcy and I just cant help thinking that I know more about footy than he does.

There has to be a way of stopping this.

Basil Zempilas called the 2008 International Rules Series here if I remember correctly - I don't remember him being too bad. Living in Melbourne I obviously haven't heard much (any) of his 6PR stuff, although TV is naturally called for a little differently.

Channel 10 was easily the best coverage of football. Their intros and promos before matches, their post match coverage and half time shows were a class above Ch7 or Fox. I do agree that Darcy and Maher are ****ing shit. Don't care much for Walls.

Huddo is the best commentator in the AFL, one of the main reasons I loved 10's coverage. Glad he has got another gig, sucks its with Fox though.
