David Rodan deservedly won the 2014 version of Dancing with the Stars. The former AFL footballer beat actress Lynne McGranger, who played Irene Roberts on Home and Away.
Rodan’s win came after he and dance partner Melanie Hooper scored three sets of perfect
10s from judges Todd McKenney, Helen Richey, Kym Johnson and Adam Garcia
Rodan, who played for Richmond and Port Adelaide, is the second AFL player to take out
the mirror ball trophy. Former Carlton star Anthony Koutoufides won in 2006.
It was rodan’s first grand final victory with a perfect 120 out of 120 score from the judges — 10 points more than McGranger and dance partner Carmelo Pizzino.
When the viewer votes were added in — they made up 50 per cent of the final score

What a joke, this award has lost all credibility. The MVP voted by the other dancers is much more valuable.

Nah, the managers/coaches award is far more meaningful as they know what they were sent out to do.
